November 14, 2016 – Picture: Nigerian Parents Give Horrific Tribal Marks To Newborn Baby Boy

Check out this viral photo of a baby boy with horrific tribal marks.

The parents of this newborn who reportedly hailed from Kwara state chose to put this scary-looking tribal marks on their son to fulfill cultural demands.

One can only wonder what they will tell him when he eventually grows up. Tribal marks in this day and age? #wicked tradition

It is very difficult to fight an idea and the people still carrying out this kind of practice need to be convinced that there is no gain and come to think of it no retribution from ancestors if that aspect of the culture is done away with.perhaps approaching the issue by Telling them that now most people do not put marks on faces any longer the child will take a lot of teasing from his peers and feel miserable while growing up. The love for the child might stop parents marking their faces rather than being confrontational in trying to make them stop the reactive.if they are not persuaded of their own volition, parents might even claim the mark has some spit itual benefit and trying to stop them will now be viewed as religious discrimination against their tribe.
I remember a remark I once heard somebody make that she wished she could put to birth a fair complexioned baby girl so she could put these marks that look like someone writing one hundred and eleven on the child’s cheeks. That wish was made out of sheer vanity because the lady considered those marks sexy and that it would make the child more beautiful. She never considered the child’s possible resentment at being marked at all.

I think it is only education of the parents that can stop them rather than prosecution in court.

It is terrible what parents can do!
The blasfemy here is: if such cuts are made on the Penis of a boy and the foreskin (which is important and belongs to the Things God called “very good” after creations, made with more nervcells than any other part in the body) everbody will praise it! One cannot abbondan above and the same time cut his boys sexual organ and amputate a big part of the skin!!
