Pictured above is a Nigerian citizen based in South Africa arrested recently for drug trafficking.

The suspect who was caught with 3.920kg of methamphetamine drug said a friend gave him N150,000 to traffic the drug to his base in South Africa.

He was nabbed on an Ethiopian Airline flight to SA while trying to check in at the departure hall of MMIA airport in Ikeja Lagos.

Hear what Ayoola Ayodeji Adebayo told the NDLEA:

“I am a grocer in Pretoria. I have lived in South Africa for over three years. I am married with two children. My friend in Pretoria asked me to bring two bags to him. He bought my return ticket and gave me one hundred and fifty thousand naira. I thought the drug would not be detected because it was neatly concealed. This is a big mistake on my part because I have sustained my family with the grocery business. It will not happen again if I can get out of this problem.”

  1. No u can’t get out of this problem, the anarchy, nemesis is with u already, pls where are those that hates NDI IGBO ?

    • Your comments simply shows your South ***** tribes are the notorious ones in all sort of criminality. It only becomes newsworthy if other tribes are caught in crimes which are a regular occurence and common among **** tribe. If **** claim its not only their tribes men in drug business; it just goes to conferm the acceptance and notoriety of the South Easterners prevalence in committing all manner of crime. Its a shame a tribe quickly draws equalisations with other tribes when caught in heinious criminal activity and, rather choose not to proffers solution to tackling a problem that has become a disgraceful identity to a whole generations of a tribe. What “motivates” an average **** youth getting involved in criminality more than other Nigerians and, why are they so susceptible to being identified first on any criminal activities in Nigeria until further facts proves otherwise.? What are the upbringing orientations of the people of South *** and isn’t it time to recaliberate the mentality of the youth from South Eastern corridor of Nigeria to shun short-cut to getting rich.???

  2. It is no only common with the igbo as perceived….it is a personal decision thing..it could b any tribe…

  3. It is not only common with the igbos as perceived….it is a personal decision thing..it could b any tribe…

  12. BEING A DRUG DEALER HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH TRIBE OR WHAT COLOUR YOU ARE, THE PEOPLE WHO DEAL WITH DRUGS ARE THE OYINBO, BUT THEY LIKE TO USE BROWN PEOPLE TO CARRY IT FOR THEM.

PEOPLE NEED TO BE VERY CAREFUL WHO IS YOUR FRIEND., BECAUSE SOME PEOPLE USE VOODOO CHARM TO TALK YOU INTO CARRYING THE DRUG FOR THEM.
