LA Police Arrest Black Woman Kissing White Husband In Public

Daniele Watts, an African American movie star married to a white American man has been arrested by Los Angeles Police officials.

The lady who became popular after featuring in ‘Django Unchained’ was arrested by the police after an unknown individual called 911 on them.

During her arrest, the police accused her of engaging in prostitution openly not knowing that the white guy she was kissing was her husband.

Daniele Watts was arrested after she refused to show the police her ID while her husband was left untouched because he showed them his ID card.

The couple were detained and later released after police investigation. It happened in Los Angeles on Thursday.

Daniele suffered a minor wrist cut while struggling with the police during the time of her arrest in Studio City, LA.

LA Police officials on Sunday said they responded to a 911 call from a concerned citizen about an indecent exposure inside a silver Mercedes with the door open and upon investigation it was determined that no crime had been committed and they were released.

The African American actress took to Facebook to express her displeasure today:

Read her Facebook post:

“Today I was handcuffed and detained by 2 police officers from the Studio City Police Department after refusing to agree that I had done something wrong by showing affection, fully clothed, in a public place,” Watts wrote on her Facebook page on Thursday.

“As I was sitting in the back of the police car, I remembered the countless times my father came home frustrated or humiliated by the cops when he had done nothing wrong.

“I felt his shame, his anger, and my own feelings of frustration for existing in a world where I have allowed myself to believe that ‘authority figures’ could control my BEING… my ability to BE!!!!!!! ”

Her husband Brian James Lucas also wrote:

“I could tell that whoever called on us (including the officers), saw a tatted RAWKer white boy and a hot bootie shorted black girl and thought we were a HO (prostitute) & a TRICK (client),” “Our freedom isn’t freedom folks, when people can abuse others with no reason or evidence at all just because they “think” they have been given the power by people that are ONLY equal to us.”

Whoever called the police on them is an Amebo.

This just proved to us that this evil called racism is real.

  1. Daniele you will be a total failure if you don’t get a lawyer to sue LAPD ass
This is an avenue for you to become a millionaire don’t miss it
I love here and I know the implication of their action

  2. She was arrested because she refused to provide her I.D. Her boyfriend provided his when they were asked for their IDs. Secondly, they were making out in the passenger side of the car (sex) when the neighbors saw them and called the police. Please do not blame everything on racism. After all she swore never to date a Black man. Why is she crying now and blaming her arrest on racism whereas the reason why she was arrested was her stubbornness.

    • if you dont know how to read, just ****. where did you read in the news that they were having sex openly? secondly, even the guy that showed the police his id was still arrested.

  3. @ Uzoma. Please desist from forming opinion about people and their actions before getting your facts right.

I have read a lot of reports about this story. And nothing indicates the couple where having sex as you claim.

Please take a look at the background picture of where the lady was arrested-it certainly does not look like a residential area to me.

I’m sure if indeed the couple where having sex –she would still be in police custody by now –or perhaps have been charged for constituting public nuisance.

As for the issue of arrest and handcuffs-one would have expected the police from a developed country- like the USA to apply some decorum, discretion and common sense –that is not so common for some people…I guess. When handling matters of these nature.

If I may ask you a question, when did it become a crime not to produce an ID upon request?
Especially, if you have not committed a crime. Why the embarrassment of an innocent person.

Does everyone go about carrying ID cards in Nigeria or where you live?

The police could have easily identified the lady by asking for her name with her date of birth and they can match this information with their data base-this would produce any information they have on her including where she resides.

The police can then ascertain straightway, whether the lady is a known felon or not.
As for the issue of racism .My advice to you is not to ever brush aside the issue of racism, for it is REAL!

I don’t know where you live …but take the time out to study the issues of racism in the USA and around the world, please!

As for the policemen who arrested the lady they should really go and bury their shameless, racist faces in a chunk of faeces!

  5. @conscience thank you so much for ur comment, as a matter of fact it is not a crime not to produce an id when asked frm a police officer, cuz u dnt expect one to carry an id all the time, racism is crime that the police has to help eradicate, yet they( the police) is the mean offender of this crime. Its such a shame, and this is fast telling on Africans by bleaching out there lovely skin all in the beed of getting Brown. Ever heard of this saying??? Whites one side, Brown acceptable, black move away????? If u haven’t then im sure u dont knw much then! In the UK now as I speak all forms are now been changed, ethnicity background, whites or other whites mixrace white with africa, white with Caribbean, white with Chinese, whites with Asian, any other mix, then black with what ever there is to them. Can u now make sense to it????? Ur name determines if ur in or not. It just a shit world we are living in. Better knw it now!!!!! Im proud to be black nuffin can change that. When I get to 70s I will still look firm whereas if I was white by 20s I will be looking my nan’s age. Proudly African adorable black thats who me is,,,,,, bless ii one love

  6. @uzoma you make a good comment, but @ conciene you dont really understand what Uzoma is saying…this arrest have nothing to do with racism, its true that racism exist but not the subject matter in this case, even if its chris brown and rihanna cut on that way ,police will be called too,but what i want you guys to know here is that,in any well organize country, you must be with your ID card no matter who are you,a citizen or stranger..nigeria as a country blind it citizens about this, many nigerians citizens have been deported on this issue, for example,in many contries of central part of africans, like Angola, gabon ,equatorial guinea …etc,if you mistakenly forget your ID at home, you must be arrested by Gerderme police, either you save yourself with money or you go to ballack and work,in the 2000 if you are cut without ID you will be deported,so the issue of ID not known is nigeria, but it works in all develope countries…i think the would have simply give out her ID and recieve am sorry from the police rather than proving arrogance and taking to custody, when this girl vow never to date a black man ,how many of you oppose her?,how come now she mention of racism all of you join her race…listen to muzik befor you dance! TM

  7. Conscience, thanks for your comment. About them not being in police custody if indeed they were having sex, they disengaged when confronted by a passerby before the police arrived. As for presenting ID when asked, where I live if you are driving you are supposed to have your driver license. In this case, I am not sure who was driving, assuming that she was not the driver, she could have told the officer she does not have it with her, then the officer will ask for her name. If you watched the video, immediately the officer asked for her ID she started yelling and injecting racism into it. I am not saying there are no racists around but in this particular case she was wrong. Secondly Conscience, this is a lady that once said she would never date a Black man but, when confronted by a white police officer she raised the issue of racism into her arrest. As for the area where they were confronted by that officer, it is a residential area lined with trees. I know this because I lived in Los Angeles before relocating to another state due to job transfer. I totally agree with you there are racism in the US and around the world but the worst is discrimination in our Nigeria that is 100% black. Conscience, I do not feel pity for her. Some Black American women wish they are white to the extent that the only friends they have and associate with are whites. If you can go back to 1984, Miss America, Vanessa Williams never had a black friend both male or female. But as soon as she won the pageant, it was revealed that she posed nude and her nude pictures where she was making out with a white girl surfaced. Her white boyfriend dumped her, all her white friends left her and what did she end up doing? she is now married to a Black man. She suddenly realized she is Black. One thing most people don’t realize is this, that Black is beautiful. I have a lot of white friends both men and women. Especially the women do everything to look black. Some go for lip injection to have a thicker lip, some go for butt injection to make their rear end look like Black women etc. MamaAfrica said it right in her comment. A 20 year old white person looks like he/she is in her 50’s whereas a 70 year old black man or woman looks far younger that his/her age. In the office where I work, some of my white colleagues who are 45 year look older than my Grandfather. Black is beautiful and in my next life, I will come back a black man. Please tell our black women (especially Nigerian) to stop bleaching. I have just given you a reason why I do not feel pity for this woman. Thanks.

  8. @Uzoma, many thanks for your response & opinion…the examples you have given about the ladies you mentioned are quite unfortunate and perhaps it is the sad reality for those ladies that have been “brain-washed” by the society in which they live in.

They suffer from the most complex mental issues, which leads to emotional insecurities and inferiority complex-Hence they longer believe in themselves again.

These ladies, you have mentioned are the by- products of a racist society –Hence they have succumbed to their own insecurities and inferiorities which has led them into thinking, they can no longer be beautiful except if they become white.

Unfortunately these ladies have lost their inner-most selves and their identities.

Perhaps they have lived far too long in a society where being white opens doors by the click of the finger….for them this is the winning team and they have to join it.

Unfortunately not everyone is mentally tough to handle being constantly discriminated against because of their colour and not who they are. Hence these ladies ignorantly think they have found the easy way out of their situation by wanting to be white.

Look around you, these attitudes you have mentioned sometimes happens to ladies, who are no longer in touch with their roots.
…But judging by your name, I can see you are still in touch with your African roots.
I think our job here, is to educate the ones that we come across –by making them have that self –esteem and believe, again.

Let all and sundry know that being Black is indeed beautiful …for that evil called RACISM! truly exist.
However having said all of these, I still personally believe the matter of the lady and the arrest, could have still been handled in a more dignified manner.
Did anyone see the injuries inflicted on the lady by the handcuffs?
