Former Military ruler, Ibrahim Babangida was in Ibadan yesterday for a condolence visit to late Alhaji Arisekola Alao who passed away last week in London, UK.

During the visit, Babangida said he was sad when he hear that the business mogul died 2 weeks after they had planned to meet.

In his words;

” On behalf of myself, family and delega­tion, we are here to convey our condolence to the Aris­ekola family. I spoke with him two weeks before his demise and he promised to see me immediately he comes back. I did not know that Allah had another plan for him. Aare left a big legacy for us to emulate, we would have asked for a long life for him but Allah knows best.

“If you ask for a long life for someone, it should not be how old you live, but long life is the good work the individual left behind and that was what Aare Arisekola -Alao has left.”

Earlier during the visit and while welcoming the Babangida’s team, Otudeko thanked Allah for the life of Arisekola-Alao, describing him as a unique individual who impacted many lives before his death.
