Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo has openly declared that he’s no longer a member of the ruling party.
Today, the retired general ordered PDP Chairman for his ward, Mr Oladunjoye Sumonu to tear his car during a press briefing in Abeokuta.
Few hours later, the party announced his expulsion.

What a shame. How could Nigerians have voted someone like Obasanjo as president? His public display, utterances, moral, composure etc are in contrast to the norms of decent leaders. Nigerians, vote carefully if ever this election holds.

The former President has shown disdain for PDP. This is democracy. The beauty of it is you are free as air to either remain as a non partisan or engaged in politics and party of your choice. However how l wish the ex President behave as his other colleagues and either keep quiet. He is old enough. To manage ones family is not easy not to talk of a nation. May the merciful God chose us a good leader among the contestants

This man is old fool, they are the one destroying this country, if he has to denounce his membership as a leader in PDP must it be this way… what does this signify this has really shown that Jonathan is no more dancing to his tone again that is why he is acting this way… Nigeria lets think, i don’t like Jonathan or any of them.. this whole trauma that Nigerian is into today cos by this old fool that can not manage a home talk less of nigeria

Following his announcement, Obasanjo asked that his PDP membership ID card be torn by the Chairman of his ward 11 Ita-Eko, Sumonu Oladunjoye, telling the visitors that he was no longer a member of the ruling party.
Speaking to journalists in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, he further maintained that he isn’t prepared to join another political party, as he wishes to remain an elder statesman.

PDP under the leadership of this failed president in the past six years has no credibility, and has lost all confident and trust of over 170 millions great Nigerians. Former president Olusegun Obasanjo was the principal actor that paved way for this do-nothing president Jonathan to be elected as the first vice president from Ijaw minority. The same Obasanjo worked tirelessly in 2011 to ensure that this zoology turned politician was reelected against more powerful forces of Babangida, Atiku, and other more experience politicians from the north. Where are these criminal, unpatriotic, and selfish supporters of this failure when OBJ was helping their ATM president? Anyway, OBJ deserve all the insult from Jonathan’s criminal allies because he single-handedly paved way to the most incompetent, low mentality, unpatriotic, unintelligent, and most corrupt president in Nigerian history. It is a great lost to Jonathan’s campaign group for a former president from the same party to deviate to another party because of the fear that this president will eventually destroy Nigeria unity, peace, and progress if he is allow to rig next presidential election. Obasanjo put the country interest first before the party because he knows fully well that he had committed the worst mistake in his entire public life, he now realizes that president Jonathan belong to the zoo to govern over wide animals and not over about 180 millions great Nigerian people. I truly believe that Obasanjo share huge blame for the present condition of the country because of his past records of election manipulations and politicians fixing like that that paved way to criminal Jonathan. However, Baba Iyabo is doing all its can to rescue our declining and sinking nation from this dumb, incompetent, unqualified, and most corrupt president in Nigerian history. If the election is conducted in a free and fair manner, General Mohammad Buari will surely become our next president. There is no amount of false propaganda, election fraud, voter’s intimidation, voter’s suppression, and bribe that can rescue Badluck from his six years records of failure, insecurity, inflation, corruption, mismanagement, leadership failure, money laundering, mass murder of innocent Nigerians by his siblings – Boko Haram terrorists. OBJ is allying himself this time with over 95% of our people, and they are all saying, “Enough of Jonathan’s Destructive of Nigeria. “
