True to his words, the Ooni of Ife has erected a massive statue of goddess Moremi Ajasoro in Ile Ife.
The 42-feet tall statue which is considered the tallest of its kind in Nigeria and Africa’s third tallest statue is currently erected in Ita Akogun area of Ile Ife.
The statue with 30 steps is situated at the same spot the heroine lived centuries ago behind the palace of the Ooni of Ife.
The official unveiling will hold this coming Friday the 25th of November 2016.
The monarch claimed it was constructed by Nigerian engineers and youths.
All products used in building the statue were made in Nigeria.
