Ondo-based monarch, Obateru Fredrick Akinruntan, the owner of Obat Group of companies ascended the throne after Adebanjo Mafimisebi, the former monarch of Ugboland was dethroned.
He was installed as the new king of Ugboland in Ondo state by Governor Mimiko in December 2009.
He is happily married to Oloori Iyabode Akinruntan, a princess from the Momoh royal family of Ikare Akoko, Ondo State. Their marriage is blessed with many children and grandchildren.
