  1. Why is nigerians so stupid and daft. Why hire a chinese firm to construct ordinary road. Why can’t we do most of these things by ourselves even though we didn’t do it well at first, over time we can be perfect in it To mix and pour bitumen on the way we need china to do it for us. When nnamdi kanu called nigeria a zoo, he didnt make any mistake.

  2. @IK. And when Trump called Nigeria a Shithole of a Country, he wasn’t making any mistake either. You see, with all these dumb politician, we are doomed. And this is what Nigerians do not understand. Sometime, I think we are better off with the Military. America will never hire a Nigerian Construction Firm to do their roads and bridges. They will not hire Chinese Firm to do their roads and bridges either. China will never hire America, or Nigeria for that matter, to do their roads and bridges. Why? both have the technological-know-how on their sides. So, Rotimi could hire a foreign firm to employ a home engineers to do their roads. Really?

    • America will never hire another cou try to do their projects because they have the technologies and they keep developing themselves everyday but what technology does Nigeria have? It is easier to embezzle money when capital projects are given to foreigners than Nigerians. Besides payment wont be delayed with foreigners but Nigerian contractors will be owed their pay. That is what the goat heads called leaders have reduced the citizens to

  3. The terms and conditions of the contract should have been incorporated in the contract document before it is signed and the employment of certain cadre of workers which would be in a position to understudy the expatriate should be specified therein so the court may be in a position to enforce those conditions where necessary. The write-up does not state whether the contract was awarded during the tenure of this Transportation Minister so his effort towards having indigenes key into the action, if a bid to do what should have been thought about from the start, should be commended rather than criticized.
@ Cupid, you are correct that Nigerians have the technological know how but unfortunately, some of the indigenous construction companies awarded road construction contracts in the past had not done satisfactory jobs and oftentimes get mobilized only to abandon the jobs. Nigeria needs good roads and it is those who can deliver that should be awarded contracts. Sentiments have so far taken us nowhere and should not be the basis for awards please.

  4. Only the Almighty can explain the awful dimension(s) of Black race, something went wrong terribly in the beginning of time. What baffles me is the gargantuan support for mediocrity at every level, folks, both well-lettered and otherwise would go outright at you if you dare talk of cleaning out the system. Nigeria is a big disappointment, a disgrace to all Blackkind!

  5. I wonder why Nigerian government continue to work with China, in developing our country, after all what we’ve heard, and often see on on the social media sites about the way Chinese talk about black people. We should not forget how our forefathers were enslaved by the Whiteman. Now we’re giving Chinese a leeway, for the same thing. When are we going to learn. Let’s give ourselves respect, money isn’t all, because if we don’t no one will respect us in the world.

  6. Nigeria government do not need to look far before finding Nigerian company that can construct good road. For example the company constructing Ibadan to Lagos expressway from Ibadan side seem to be doing a very good job.
