June 21, 2015 – #Save Majek Fashek: COSON Calls For Contributions For Reggae Star Battling Drinking Problem & Drug Addiction

COSON Chairman, Tony Okoroji, is so passionate about reggae legend, Majek Fashek; he is calling on corporate bodies to reach out and save the singer.

Okoroji took to facebook to announce his new passion when he posted this recently: “We cannot afford to allow the prodigious talent of Majek Fashek to be flushed down the drain. I am therefore compelled today to ask my many friends at Nigerian Breweries, Guinness, Coca- Cola, Pepsi, MTN, Glo, Airtel, Etisalat and the other organizations who deploy music as their major communication platform to give Nigerians a chance to once again enjoy the musical wizadry of the mystical and magical Majek Fashek. It is both a good business decision and a sound humanitarian decision. Please put Majek Fashek on your shows.”

Earlier he had posted: “Early in his career, I was involved in a tour that featured this guy. On a hot day, with the sun shining so bright at Crystal Park in Aba, Majek mounted the stage and once he started singing, ‘The sky is misty and cloudy’ the weather suddenly changed. It began to drizzle. As soon as he got to the chorus line, “Send down the rain’ the skies opened up and it began to rain like the stuff was getting out of fashion. This happened from city to city that it became difficult for me to insist that it was co-incidence. Majek became known as the Rainmaker. This born performer still holds his audience spellbound.”

Are you a fan of Majek’s? Are you touched? Do you want to reach out to the rain maker? A Majek Fashek Fund has been set up at Diamond Bank.

“This is an appeal to all lovers of good music and all fans of Majek Fashek to please contribute today to the Majek Fashek Fund,” Okoroji pleaded.

Sorry this is more than meets the eyes. I beg to differ that he has not been spiritually attacked. People in the entertainment industry should be really careful. God knows who did this to him…may the mercy of God be upon him.

Pls what is the money for? He is suffering for addiction and all need is treatment and rehabilitation. I am Fed up with the idea of donations g money for people whom their calamities are caused by their own fault e.g nollywood. If you are in business, you will be save money for dry season and their job is never charity. Another people heading for their destruction in Nigeria. Are the musician. They drink to stupor and engage in drugs, soon they will come up with liver problem. They think they are chopping life while aiming for destruction. Pls enough of donating money in the name of celebrity, many real people that can even afford 3square meals are there or able to send their children to school . Help them first. Majek misused opportunities and only come one’s.

Its really unfortunate that Nigeria n indd d whole world has lost this talented musician to drug n woman. So disheartening dt upon all his reigns, Traveling all over d world, Majek couldn’t build even a single room as his own. Majek of all ppl being evicted by landlords here n there. I dnt kno who should collect the lion share of d blame bt i think this should b a wake up call to all d so called celebrities. Making d hay while sun z stil dea z very important. Its an open secret dt Majek has bn a addict ryt frm onset n a chronic womanizer too. I pray he’s nt gone beyond redemption

We all love him and ready to help. for me take him to a strong man of god in Nigeria. it can in Warri to Prop Jeremiah or to Prop Tb Joshua or Prop Adeboye or any then tell us we will send our contribution directly to that church. all men of God knows him and his rain music they will help him for free. the first step is take him there then inform us and name of church and pastor praying for him.

If you truely want me help him that is the way forward. It is spiritual. It is from the ancestors I know nothing nothing can dispute my suggestions. The Gods of forefathers gave him that talent and pushed him through dreams to drugs becasue he refused to serve them. Nobody did it to him is the generational spirits. If not why did he choose to go to Kingston where you have all the lucifers and evil spirits of drugs world.

Money into ones account not to him sorry for me is a noo noo.

I am a fan of Majek. I am touched by his condition and want to reach him but my dear take him first to church then we can help. Give us name of church pastor and number and we will help. the pastors know him and will even deliver him for free.

His ancestors pushed him to drugs because he refused to serve them so he needs total deliverance because is a spiritual issue.
