Seyi Sodimu who came into limelight after the release of his song titled Love Me Jeje has lost his brother.
Seyi’s elder brother Kayode Sodimu, a dual citizen of Nigeria and America died in the early hours of Monday the 8th of April 2013 at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland after a brief battle with an undisclosed illness.
According to family sources, Kayode Sodimu who obviously battled a secret illness has lost all hope after an apparent spiritual attack he suffered.
Before his death, he works as a Police officer in Washington DC’ Metro Area
and as a protocol officer with the United States Of America Homeland security.
Before his admission to John Hopkin, he took to his Twitter page on March 1st, 2013 to express thanks to God for being alive;
“Good Morning F/B Family. I Was at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore Maryland on Wednesday For a Doctors Appointment and sitting in lobby. And Feeling Sorry for myself with my Illness since 2008 and just as was about to put my head down. This Guy Rolled into the waiting room where I was, Cheerful and Laughing And Highly Excited On a wheel chair with No Legs (Both Legs missing from the knee down ) I quickly got myself together and said to myself . Thank you JESUS Because it could be worse . So God just made a point to me. It could be worse. Just say thank you. IT IS WELL IN JESUS NAME AMEN”
His last Facebook page update that was posted on the 24th of March, 2013 reads
“Good Morning F/B Family. No matter what is happening in your
life or what is going to happen to you, LIFE GOES ON WITH OR WITHOUT
YOU.”
Kayode Sodimu’s burial has been scheduled for April 28, 2013 in Washington DC.
He is survived by a wife, 3 children, his siblings and parents.
He died at the age of 52.
May God grant his family the fortitude to bear his loss and may his soul rest in perfect peace

Although we were cousins,as kids I always looked up to you as the Big Brother I never had. This is a difficult cross for the family to bear.
