Feb 8, 2014 – Stephanie Okereke Linus’ Foundation Sponsors VVF Repair Surgeries For 22 Women In Cross River State Nigeria

Few weeks back, Nollywood actress Stephanie Linus nee Okereke’s charity organization travelled to Ogoja in Cross Rivers to sponsor the treatment of 22 women battling Vesico Vaginal Fistula.

The expensive surgical operation was sponsored by Stephanie-owned, Extended Hands Foundation in collaboration with Next Page Productions with the support of talented surgeons and nurses at the General Hospital in Ogoja.

The team of doctors carried out VVF repair surgeries on the 22 women and catered for them for 2 weeks, nursing them back to health.

Vesico-Vaginal Fistula (VVF) is a hole and/or channel between the bladder and vagina or the vagina and the rectum (recto-vaginal fistulae – RVF) developing during prolonged and/or obstructed labour. VVF causes urine and faeces to leak out of the bladder continuously (incontinence). This can lead to painful infections of the bladder and the kidneys.

Here are some pictures the actress shared:

Thank you Stephanie for your ever kindness towards these ladies who suffered from VVF, and hopefully, with the operations done on them, they are getting their lives back. Please keep up the good job. May God continue to bless you, Stephanie. We all love you.

Ibidun if you looked closely before ctisizing, you would see that the ladies carrying the bowls still have their cathethers attached.
This is a very commendable action by a Nigerian actress, whilst others are parading cars, boyfriends and divorces.
