A new movie addressing the issue of child labour and promoting education among children through the use of indigenous languages is set to hit the cinemas.
The child advocacy movie titled Street Kid is produced Wale Muraina of R24 Media and directed by Tony Dudu.
It chronicles the story of how a backstreet kid who was forced into hawking by his step mother helped a rich kid to win a national schools’ spelling competition using Nigerian languages.
The movie which featured Jibola Dabo, Rachael Oniga, Patrick Doyle, Toyin Abraham, Kalu Ikeagwu, Chioma Akpotha, Kate Henshaw and others has already received endorsement of the Ooni of Ife ahead of its premiere
Child actor Kenneth Enweremadu is the rich kid while Joshua Ani is the street kid in the movie.
