April 4th, 2013 – Taribo West Lied About His Real Age: “He’s ’12 Years Older Than We Thought” – Zarko Zecevic

The current news making round is the controversy surrounding the real age of Nigerian footballer turned Pastor Taribo West.

According to Zarko Zecevic, the former President of Serbian football club Partizan Belgrade, Taribo West was actually 40 when he claimed he’s only 28.

‘He joined us saying he was 28. We only later found out he was 40, but he was still playing well so I don’t regret having him on the team,’ Zecevic said.

The former defender was also accused of trying to join Croatia’s Rijeka club by falsifying his real age.

When he was 44, he lied he’s only 32 until the club doctors raised an alarm when his knees examination suggested he’s older than 32.

In 2008, Taribo West ended his football career at the age of 46.

Chai! Taribo don chop the mugus.

By the way, Taribo West is now a pastor… He is a new creature… no more lie lie for him.

I believes all is for survival and making of end meat. let us not over emphasised on age differences as its irrelevant in means of survival in naija today.
