In a short video which has since gone viral on the social media, the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu insulted the King of Ile Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi.
The highly celebrated monarch was seen entering an event center majestically. In his usual friendly way, he walked over to greet the monarchs in front before heading to Rilwan Akiolu who rejected his kindness with an hand wave.
The humiliated King of Ile Ife just walked away as if nothing happened and continued chatting with an unidentified monarch sitting in between him and the Oba of Lagos.

In fact, this ignoble act could erupt another hostility among traditional rulers. Nobody wants to see this in public places, the Oba of Lagos needs a babysitter, he is one hell of a person.

I think all other Yoruba Obas should see to this unprecedented behavior. Ooni is no way compare to this Bale Akinolu of Lagos. Oba of Lagos is not relevant in enitre Yoruba race. This buffoon called Akinolu should be ridicule in public as well. Akinolu, your days are numbered, starting from the moment you disrespected your lineage, yourba tradition, and history will never be in your favor.

this not insult, its a snub and Onii should deal with, on the other hand Oba of Lagoon is very arrogant and rude that we know, he could have @least respect the highest king in Yoruba land. Onii I think you should take some time off travelling attending all occasions.

THE OONI OF IFE’S SEAT IS higher than that of the oba of Lagos. But the current Ooni of Ife is apparently far too younger than the present Oba of Lagos, and I guess the oba of Lagos has overlooked the office of the Ooni of Ife and focused on the young man occupying it, who, perhaps, deserves no respect from him. This is how rivalry wars start. I hope the Yoruba gods would not fold there arms and watch this.
