A young Indian woman left doctors in shock when she delivered a weird looking creature at a private government hospital in Kolkata this week.

23-year-old Muskura Bibi delivered a half human, half mermaid baby which only lived for 4 hours before it died.

The baby whose gender was impossible to be determined is the fifth baby born with a rare birth defect called Sirenomelia aka Mermaid Syndrome in the world.

The baby born with fused legs is India’s 2nd Mermaid baby.
