5th Largest Diamond In The World Found In Letseng Mine Lesotho Southern Africa Sold In Antwerp Belgium For $40Million
The 910 Carat diamond discovered in South Africa few months ago has been sold for a whopping sum of $40million.
The diamond discovered by Gem Diamonds Ltd was sold at an auction house in Antwerp city, Belgium to an undisclosed bidder yesterday.
The rare Diamond was found in Letseng mine in Lesotho in January 2018.
Mining firms from the western world are making it big in Africa as another rough diamond discovered in Botswana was sold for a whopping 53 million dollars back in September 2017.
Africa is one of the poorest continents in the world, yet expensive diamonds that could have turned their lives around are being discovered and shipped away on a daily basis. So sad!!!.
