Veteran Nollywood actor Adebayo Salami has been honoured in his hometown of Ilorin Kwara state.
The excellent role interpreter popularly called Oga Bello was last weekend made the “Seriki Amuludun Of Yorubaland”.
The titled was bestowed upon him by the western zone of the Ilorin Emirate Descendant Progressive Union.

Seriki Amuludun of Ilorin or Yoruba land. This chieftaincy title has to be a concession and collaboration of all Yoruba’s kings and all citizens of Yorubas at large. Some Yoruba title such as Are Onakankanfo, Ajiroba etc are very big title. For example Oga Bello cannot be made as Amuludun of Yoruba land without consent of Alafin of Oyo, Oni of Ife, Awujale of Ijebu and other Obas. Yoruba land title carries a lot of weight.
