Adunni Ade Joins Nigerian Celebrities Fighting Against Body Shaming

nigerian body shaming

Body shaming seems to have taken over from bullying in these times we live in today.

The latest victim of this evil act is Nollywood actress Adunni Ade.

The single mother of two came under attack recently after uploading bikini photos on her Instagram.

The actress has made it clear to her attackers that she will not succumb to their threats.

To further confront her haters, Adunni went on, not just to post more photos, but duly called out those who after body shaming her slide into her DM to beg for assistance.

“Oh I see them sleek comments but be in the DM’s asking for handouts! The begging has trippled in the last few days Nah bud! Life don’t work that way!.

It’s okay for me to promote and embrace the African Culture but a big problem when the American Side is portrayed? A lot of you live the Fakest Lives ever!!! So bitter on the inside!!!”  “I know some would ask why respond?… well… I just feel like it! I guess I got lil spare time this morning. In case you FORGOT. My name is Adunni Faye Ade. I do what I want, when I want! Live with it o.”

My dear sister do not worry about those who call you names about your body. I just don’t know when Africans became so much concern about their bodies. Our bodies are our bodies, and I think we should be proud of how it looks, except when it can cause some health issues. Not everyone was or is born to be slim or slender. We have people who are very lanky, slim, moderate and big bodies, but it does not make you ugly. Most African women are copycats, we bleach to be like a white person, we lose weight to look like an artificial toy. Welcome your bodies and appreciate your bodies and appreciate how God has made you. We must learn to appreciate our bodies.

Wo sisi mi, Don’t reply haters, they are just too many and if care is not taken, they will slowly drag you into depression. Once they poke you and you fire back, the dirty game is on. Don’t get gotten because you’re surrounded by habitual haters.
