APC Demotes Ekiti People To Beggars Over Fayose’s Stomach Infrastructure Scheme

Jan 2nd, 2015 – APC Demotes Ekiti People To Beggars Over Fayose’s Stomach Infrastructure Scheme

The stomachs of Ekiti people are all filled courtesy of the ministry of stomach infrastructure as created by the governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose.

The people of Ekiti who thronged in their thousands to designated sharing points between the 22nd and 24th of December 2014 across the different collection points at all the local governments of the state showed so much delight at the initiative of the governor.

Materials given included bags of rice, hen and cash gifts. This welfare scheme which had being considered by members of the opposition as demoting Ekiti people to beggar status is now increasingly popular with the masses who see the governor as a man who understands the people.

It could be recalled that at the first coming of the governor in 2001-2003, Ayo Fayose had started the distribution of free water through tanks, kerosene and had offered medical and financial aid to Ekiti people. This stomach infrastructure is just the part two.

Other state governors are thinking of replicating the policy.

@ The author, is this piece you have written a joke or you are for real? Hence I‘m beginning to think that this article is either a sponsored propaganda tool in favour of Fayose and the PDP party or you are just having a laugh at the expense of the people of Ekiti.
First of all Mr/Mrs author, why did you not append your name at the end of this propagandist article? Secondly I would like you to mention the states and their governors that are willing to replicate this demeaning –cheap publicity act of doling out alms to people, as if they are beggars in Kano Street or the Almajiris in the North.
In case you might have forgotten, let me remind you of the article published from this same site (Naijagists) on December 27 titled; (Ekiti teachers cursed Fayose for giving them tiny Christmas chickens) the article stated that the teachers in Ekiti were highly disappointed that they got bird size chicken and hens for Christmas and some of them even complained that they spent over #1000 all to be given bird size chicken worth around #800.As at today thousands of civil servant in Ekiti are still being owed months of unpaid salaries.
Please here is my advice to this author – lets be responsible when writing. Especially when disseminating information to the public. We all have to be vigilant and careful of what we are writing and who to belief, now that the election is around the corner, and we don’t know who to trust again.
Let us STOP this deceitful journalism .Nigerians have been fooled far too long. We need to work together to enlighten the Nigerian populace in order to end the long suffering of the people.
And next time you are writing a piece it would be ethical to append your name. So the reader can know who is writing.

I am so so disappoointed in the style of cheap and populist style of governance, crafted just to win peoples hearts over. How long will Fayose continue to decieve the people he was voted into office to better their lives through livelihood empowerment but, choose to dissipate the treasury to satisfy his personal ambitions. When have the once well educated people of Ekiti who have defied all cheating governments in Nigeria become so gullible to an extent they have been cleverly turned into beggers and recievers of stipends of the same resouces which is surposed to be theirs and, just to be managed by Fayose. Not even the richest country on earth; the United States of America can erradicate hunger through giving of handout otherwise, the USA would have long been able to rid the American street corners of destitudes who are very visible virtually in all American states. Where is the popular resistance of the once dreaded Ondo/Ekiti peoples abhorence for cheaters like Fayose.? Has the current Boko Haram insurgency ravaging the north, which was largely created by northern leaders for lack of foresight, fuelled by joblessness and idleness served any lessons at all to Fayose and the Ekiti people.? Fayose’s lack of ideas of creating jobs for the people will eventually mature into a fully blown brigades of thousands of youths who’ll vent their life frustration back at the people and the system that created them. Niger Delta militancy history is not too far from us and, incidentally not too far from Ekiti state backyard. Where has the pride of the Yoruba people gone.? Its a big shame that politics which somewhere else has helped to lift a people out of poverty and helpnessness is rather used in Nigeria to impoverish the people and turning them into beggers of their own resouces. It’s a sad story to recount indeed.

@The author-Many thanks ,Mr Samuel Ufot Ekereke-for listening to the advice in regards appending your name to the aforementioned article.
At least we now know- who is responsible for this fallacious piece of journalism.
According to your earlier statement that more governors are looking to replicate this so -called madness called “stomach infrastructure”.
Perhaps, if you have the time you can write an article about the states in Nigeria and the governors that are willing to replicate this cheap publicity/political stunt that Fayose; is currently meting out to the people of Ekiti, by handing-out food to the “begging” people of Ekiti.Instead of facilitating a genuine job creation process.
