Buhari is political demagogue. The first time he became president was by force, it was through coup. People make reference to his 2 years in office as a good time for Nigeria but I think everything he did was to prove a point. CHARITY begins at home. Outside political circles, what else is Buhari known for. Buhari is a powerful figure, everyone knows that. But I can’t still believe that Buhari would allow Boko Haram to thrive, killing many innocent people under his very watch.

At last! Nigeria is hoping for a sincere fresh breathe come 2015.APC have really proved to world its a truly democratic party where every aspirants are given equal opportunity. kudos to the convention organising committee and the entire delegates who have demonstrated their wilingness to liberate our dear country by massively voted for INTERGRITY,TRANSPARENCY, INCORRUPTABLE,BRAVED AND THE PEOPLES CHOICE. let me use this opportunity to remind all those that are willing to see the Nigeria of their dream that the emergence of GMB as the candidate of APC through a keenly contested and transparent primaries is not yet time to roll out our drums, but we must all ensure that we register and collect our PVC to enable us participate actively in the forthcoming election(Feb. 2015). we should also pray that INEC will discharge her duty diligently without fear or favour so that the vote and wishes of the masses will prevail come 2015.
The major lesson from this just concluded primary is that Nigerian are now ready for freedom as the delegates have demonstrated by voting for their conscience inspite of the fact that GMB was not having DOLLARS to shower on the delegates as the tradition demands in Nigeria politics.
    LONG LIVE GMB!
    LONG LIVE APC!!
    LONG LIVE NIGERIA!!!

Let us also pray that GMB would accept the result whatever would be the outcome of the general election come Feb 2015.There is no difference between PDP and APC. Until the sensible mind and sincere hearts of the Youths get up (like in Burkina Faso and other places) nothing is really changing. APC are all craving for power. Soon we’ll see new splits when they don’t get what they want.

Thank God a retired military tactictian is coming onboard the presidency, the end of Boko Haram is in sight. Fortunately or unfortunately Buhari himself had been a target of Boko Haram assasination in the past and, so he feels and knows the magnitude of the problems Nigerians are going through in the hands of Boko Haram and the visionless Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Ebele Jonathan is too weak a leader for a complex country like Nigeria and its obvious the reasons so many things have gone wrong under his watch and its still getting worse. Buhari is not corrupt, cannot be corrupted, has never been corrupt and is incorruptible. Thank God, Nigerians should pray for Buhari’s health and brace up for a re-emergence of a new Nigeria we can all be proud of. Jonathan should leave the seen with his gang of state cuffer’s looting brigades.

@ ODULAMI MICHAEL, I am really sorry the way you sound. Buhari is in his 70s and you truly think he is capable of leading today’s Nigeria? Boko Haram will end because Buhari is part of the grand plan. This is the truth people do not want to get. It’s so funny you brand Buhari a saint. He is not. He’s extremely desperate for power! Look at his history. His major plan is to keep advancing the wicked plans of Arab nations against Nigeria. He’s simply continuing from where IBB stopped. Right now Buhari is planing to pick a muslim as a running mate. That’s still okay. But remember this, Nigeria of today has gone far. Come 2015, Nigeria is due to split to any number. After all many single states in Nigeria are bigger and better than many countries in Europe and many parts of the world. IT WAS ONLY IN THE PAST THAT THE OIL WAS THE NATIONAL CAKE. NO MORE! Good thing it is, the oil prices are falling. I wish it goes down more so we can start using our reasoning better.

This is the least of people who can lead nigerians to the promised land

    fahola
    Godswill akpabio
    donald duke
    okonjo iwuela
    adesanya (agricultural minister)
    Nuhu ribadu
    Rochas okorocha

You nigerians should keep on hoping on hope even when you know the truth

Hello brother Obinna, that is the beauty of true democratic process. No one section of Nigeria can produce a democratic president by itself. I guessed that more of those party faithful trusted General Buari more than any other candidates. It is true that Governor Okorocha is a popular politician from the Southeast, and I believe that he will make a great president in the future. But he was not elected today because now is not his time. Gov. Okorocha knows what is at stake in Nigeria today, so therefore, he will be on board campaigning for General Mohammad Buari so that Nigeria sinking ship can be rescue from president Jonathan’s leadership failure, insecurity, mismanagement, corruption, abuse of power and money laundering operations. This is not Hausa,Igbo or Yoruba issue, this is all about restoring sanity, good governance, and economic prosperity in our beloved nation. Right now, the most qualified, most competent and patriotic Nigerian citizen for the job is General Buari. Please my people let us shun tribalism and religious intolerance for the good of all suffering Nigerians and many generations to come. Shikena!

The election of GMB is a testimony of our oneness as a country. We may speak different languages, practice different culture and share different faith, our common enemies remain our corrupt and inept leaders whose religion is wealth aggrandizement and all criminal tendencies. Our enemies are not described by their tribal marks or the religion we practice. GMB is the man to tame the cancer of corruption within our polity. The man without shoe has tried his best. Now that he has many shoes, let him go to his village to testify to the goodness of God in his life- He has money to wear different golden shoes every seconds of his life. We do not intend to ask him question about his wealth. We now have a better candidate to steer our ship that is currently at the edge of a precipice of rock. As for me and my household we are for GMB as our next president. Congratulations all democrats!

My question for GEJ is why are you avoiding public debate with Buhari? I remember last election when Buhari challenged to public debate you kept dodging this until you finally sworn in. Are you afraid of public debate? All you have to do is to address fellow Nigerians and lay down your agenda what you are planing to do for your people. I can’t believe a PHD holder like you can be so timid to challenge Buhari for public debate. Folks, any thing we are doing let’s try to be bold with it.Buhari is not a PHD holder but he has the courage to tell Nigerians what type of plan he has in stock for them. That is one of the leadership quality we need. Sometimes classroom experience doesn’t count much if you cannot apply it to benefit your society. At times It depend on your intention, if your intention is to steal money you will look like a moron and unable to function or perform the job assign to you. Again if your intention to do what people expected of you, you will be excel even you are OND degree holder .

First, I want to seize this opportunity to congratulate one of the finest, honest and competent Nigerian leader for his overwhelming victory as the APC presidential candidate. As I watched the primary process carefully on Channel TV, my hope for Nigeria restoration, economic prosperity, unity, and greatness was rekindled by the best primary ever in Nigerian political history. Before the APC primary in Lagos,I had lost all hope in Nigeria political events and election procedures. But with the manner and professionalism that those great Nigerians conducted themselves in a very calm and mature manner, General Mohammad Buari will surely be elected Nigerian president in the upcoming election on February 14. He has great qualities of Commander in Chief of Nigerian armed forces. He talked like someone who is willing to rescue our sinking nation from Jonathan’s disastrous agenda. At last, Nigeria will once again have a president who can express himself clearly in English language. General Buari election victory will be so overwhelming that it will be impossible for president Badluck Jonathan and his political criminals to rig the election. I also want to thank all of my good brothers and sisters on NaijaGists.com that have voiced their opinions on this article. President Jonathan had almost six years to make a different but he has failed suffering Nigerian people miserably. Therefore, we must give this man of integrity the same opportunity to serve our interests as a nation. I also want to congratulate all Nigerians for this victory that no political manipulators or crooks can overturned. General Buari will not fall us, please my people go out in record number to cast your vote in January, 2015. Thanks.

Now that Gen. Buhari is getting his wish coming true gradually, I guess there will be no need for bloodshed come 2015, based on his previous threats. Nigeria would not burn anymore if elected. A genuine leader will not vent threats before elected into the office. What a leader indeed!!! Political aspirants doesn’t get away with threats and reckless words in civilized world, and expects to become public servants. It’s only in Nigeria they do.

    @Omokehinde,
Buhari is not powerful as you said, he was overthroned in 1985, after he destroyed Nigerian civilian government in 1983, he threatened a democratic elected Nigerian presiden in 2011, he has been contesting since 1999 and nover won, only going to court without success.
Now tell me, would you advice him to contest in 2019 ?, because, come rain and shine, GEJ must win Feb. election.
More bombs in Norf, (2015 to 2019) afer that, he would campaign again in 2019 with walking stick.
Nigeria, are you going front or back ? former head military junta in 1983, (over 30years now).
Why not suggest a smart and inteligent young leader, instead of these old cargos.
If your father lives in the city upto his 70years, would you not advice him to go to village, and you will fend for him ?. Thats how we do in our side. So Buhari is old enough to go to village, and his children would fend for him. (backward counrty)
