Nigerian singer David Adeleke has been declared the winner of 2014 Black Star Entertainment Awards.

This was made known in a congratulatory tweet sent to Davido on Twitter on Sunday by BET.

“Congratulations to @iam_Davido for winning the BET Awards for Best African Act” – said BET on Twitter on Sunday evening.

Davido trashed Sarkodie, Mafikizolo and Tiwa Savage to emerge the winner.

Few minutes after he was declared the winner,  Davido and his HKN crew hired a limo to Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles where they celebrated the achievement.

After the event, Pharrell met Davido and asked him if he’s happy, Davido replied with ‘Hell Yeah’
