June 28, 2016 – EFCC Arrests Fayose’s Aide Abiodun Agbele: Man Nominated To Collect N4.7Billion On Fayose’s Behalf In Detention
Fayose’s closest ally, Mr Abiodun Agbele has been arrested.
Mr Agbele was the man Fayose nominated to collect N4.7billion on his behalf.
Though the controversial governor said Zenith bank sponsored his election, the bank has denied the claim.
Investigation revealed that Fayose, Obanikoro and many others collected N4.7billion from ex-NSA Dasuki.
EFCC confirmed Abiodun Agbele’s arrest to Daily Sun last night.
He is currently detained at the Ikoyi office of the anti-corruption agency.

This is not a surprise to me especially in a money laundering case like this. Fayose will surely have someone as a front for this type of stealing and that is in person of Abiodun Agbele. I’m also very sure that after rigorous interrogation with EFCC, that guy will open cans of worms. Leadership is not just a position where a Leader will sit back and watch his/her people dying because of non payment of salary. A leader should be able to improvise in order lessen the problem of his people. Let’s us set this #4.7 billion case aside. At the inception of this case Fayose Zenth bank account about #500 million was frozen. This money was sitting in the bank vault doing nothing just to generate interest. Why can’t he use part of this money to pay his people salaries and later offset that money whenever he receive federal allocation for his hstate. That is a leadership but just in one day Fayose put up so much energy by walking to the bank to demand for his money which is not even his money but stolen money from Ekiti people. He could have used the same energy to solve the problem of unpaid salaries. Last year, bailout money were transferred into all states account to pay workers salaries for every state but only few Governors did the right thing while some kept the bailout money in the bank in order to yield interest for them (Courtesy Sahara Reporter). Since then a lot of neophytes have been saying all sorts of negative things about Buhari. However,don’t you think bailout money is a bailout money not to kept for private use. At the end of EFCC investigations, Fayose will be indicted and go to prison. All the rubbish he was saying on YouTube that according to section 308 of Nigeria constitution, he is still an executive governor of Ekiti State and nobody can impeach or arrest him because he ought to enjoy immunity as a sitting governor but I’m now telling him that, that is a falacy. Even in an advanced democracy a sitting president or governor can be tried for felony offense while in the office but most of them resign before it excalate further. Former United States president Nixon resigned in 1976 for the watergate scandal. President Clinton could have been impeached if not because the Senate rescinded their decision to pardon him on Monica Lewinsky scandal. So Fayose be prepared because you will be eventually arrested and disgrace out of office.
