Scandal-free Nollywood actor Chigozie Atuanya has lent his voice in opposition to the ongoing marriage crisis many of his colleagues are facing.
Lately, a lot separations, divorces based on irreconcilable differences have been happening in Nollywood.
Read what Chigozie had to say about the sad trend in Nollywood in a brief chat with NF:
” First of all, it is good to have God as a good foundation. With him as the solid rock that holds your home, it would surely last. Then tolerance is another strong point to attain a peaceful home. Marriage is a combination of two different people, from different backgrounds who came together to live as one. Sometimes, we have to learn to overlook. In as much as the women are the pillars of a home, we the men too have lots to contribute.
My wife has this American mentality, she doesn’t pay attention to the rumours people keep spreading, she just trusts me. You don’t say all you hear or keep monitoring your spouse without an atom of trust. Marriage failures are everywhere, not just in the entertainment industry, but if husbands and wives would jointly pull forces to make their marriages work, it would.”
Chigo and his lovely wife Obianuju got married last August and since then they have been having the best of marriage.

u said the truth but things happen. My Nigerian wife left me last year after 8 years and I just got married to another Nigerian lady. She is religious and am so happy I found her, it all varies.

Chigozie is too early to talk abt marriage crash. Poor boy u just got married to pretty short fat busty jennifer obineuju oranika last yr in umuebo agbaja abatete in idemili north local govt.so dont talk yet. Nollywood celebrities are all greedy.u all go 4 rich men and ladies.just like u,u married d daughter of chief And mrs G.C ORANIKA DE muilt billionair 4rm my home town.i remember dat G.C oranika killed 3 cows in ur traditional marriage just bcos an actor is getting marry 2 his last daughter and they even have to cal catapillar to repair udokwu road days b4 ur traditional marriage just bcos nollywood celebrities were cuming 4 ur marriage and of course i saw aki and pawpap,rita dominic, nkem owoh, mr ibu and co live in abatete 4ur traditional marriage. Rejoice ur wife wont gve u too much headache bcos all d other poor men dat married d 3 of ur wife’s sisters are settle with their own houses 4rm ur rich father-in-law. Oranikas are not known with divorce.why can’t nollywood celebrities marry 4rm poor families?. U all want rich men and ladies y una marriage no go dey crash
