Fulani Herdsmen Resume Attacks
August 8, 2012 – Fulani Herdsmen Resume Attacks
Just 1 month after the brutal attack that led to the death of retired Brig General Sylvester K. Iruh on the long bridge along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, the Fulani criminal gang struck again on Monday night.
On Monday August 6, 2012, an Okada rider was attacked with dagger while giving a ride to some Fulanis.
His intestines bulged out of his stomach in the brutal attack and the doctors are currently working tirelessly to save him at Lagos State University Teaching hospital.
The victim identified as Owolabi Habib, gave a ride to two Fulani herdsmen on Monday night from Berger to the cattle market adjacent the long bridge.
While Owolabi is being treated at the Emergency section of the hospital, his family members are seriously praying for him to survive.
There had been several attacks on travellers on that bridge in the recent past.
According to motorists, corpses of Fulani brutal attack victims are often seen around the area.
God have mercy!
