Sorry for that sad experience. But unfortunately someone else may have defraud you online. I almost fell to that scam myself last month on facebook to an unknown person disguising as a popular actress (Mercy Johnson Okojie). I wanted to congratulate her for her recent marriage to a jehovah’s witness guy who is based in US, then I decided to search her on her facebook account only to see so many of her facebook accounts numbering about 5 of them having her pictures on her profiles. But then, something occurred to me and I asked myself how could this lady have 5 facebook accounts all at once? Well,I still never gave too much thought to that, then I went ahead writing to send my greetings to wish her well for her newly found husband. But because I saw 5 facebook accounts she’s operating on,I decided to send my message to all her facebook accounts hoping she would see my message in any of those accounts. A day after that, she replied and announced to me that there is a promo going on that I should name 5 of her movie I’ve ever watched and a lot of impressive prices are there waiting for me to be won. I quickly did as she said then she replied with this statements…
WOW Congratulations!!! You just won yourself 1 apple laptop,1 apple ipad,1 58inch[L*C*D]samsung plasma TV and black Z30. This are the following that will aid you to claim your gift.
OMO/CHOICE courier service:
TRACK CODE NO:CIA5045
Office no 2349039097495 call him to claim your item.
Or go there office with your national identity card, ecowas passport, your driver licence to clear your gift. In case you don’t want to go there office you are to pay N20,000 to deliver your items to your doorstep.
Honestly I would have falling flat to this cam but what raised my suspiciousness was those requirement the person listed above in order t claim my gift. The only requirement among the rest that kept me thinking was the ECOWAS passport the person mentioned. I started asking myself that, what does ecowas passport has to do with claiming my gift? But I am not traveling to any west african country that will require me to go with an ecowas passport. This simple thinking was my savior that day. I had my N20,000 already at hand about to send it through account that was given to me. It was as if I was under spell or charm that moment the money was with me. Something like a force was asking me to pay that money because a woman of 50 years can’t do that to me. But with God’s intervention I back off and in fact it was as if a veil was removed from my eyes and I immediately wrote back to her and told her to instruct her agent to bring those gift to my house and am ready to pay them double of that money if they can provide those things to me. And ever since I sent that message to her,I never saw any reply from that fraudstar impersonating Mercy Johnson Okojie.
So my dear Ifeoluwa Famaki I believe you have falling to a fraudstar impersonating Ini Edo. The current one that is on now that people should be aware and be careful of is that of a text massage regarding the deactivation of your ATM CARD. A text message will be sent to you as a disguise from the Bank you are using telling you to call there line in order to submit your bank information to fix your ATM deactivation. Let’s be aware that its a scam. Let’s disregard any message of such. May God deliver us from this fraudstars.
