Am yet to understand if we really have a well-informed President in this our country Nigeria or President who doesn’t seek for right and factual information from sources meant to be loyal to Him before speaking or is it that Dr. Reuben Abati said what he likes on behalf of the President or is the current hotness of the seat making the President to say what He is not sure about, or is it an intentional propaganda to mislead Nigerians? Or was it said in fear of America? Or fear of John Kelly? Or in support of new form of colonialism in the name “Imperialism”, or fear of Obama? Or is that the country is no more sovereign from external influences (Imperialism)? Or ITT (International thief-thief like Legendary and most conscious African Afro beat pioneer Fela Anikulapo Kuti sang long ago) reaffirming their position in the country once again as the election is fast approaching?

What brought all this question I asked above is the recent visit of United States Secretary of States, Mr. John Kerry. And Our Amiable President Statement on our National Security and Bilateral relationship with United States of America after a closed door meeting he had with the Kerry.

The President said he was grateful for America standing with Nigeria and its people in the nation’s fight against Boko haram and reaffirmed his administrations commitment to working together with the US to put an end to global terrorism and particularly Boko haram. This was on the same day that Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshal Alex voiced out that major rift between the Nigerian and the America military authorities have been hampering the fight against Boko haram militants, who have been carrying out murderous attacks and kidnappings on villages and towns in the North-East.

According to him, Relationship between American military trainers and specialists advising the Nigerian military in the fight against Boko haram is so strained that the Pentagon often bypasses Nigeria altogether, choosing to work instead with the military of the neighboring countries of Cameroon, Chad and Niger. This was on the same day that the President said “I reaffirmed to Kerry that Nigeria is strongly committed to building the multinational task force to fight Boko haram in partnership with Cameroon, Chad, Benin republic and Niger under the auspice of the lake Chad Basin Commission. Instead of asking why Mr. Kelly why America must bypass Nigeria to help neighboring poor countries when Nigeria according to the President, is the largest trading partner of the US in Africa with over $18 Billion in bilateral trade?

On the same day that the President was praising America’s assistance in combating insurgency in Nigeria may be due to fear caused by the present of Kerry even when Obama has not come yet instead of discussing the security issue with Kerry, The Chief of Defence Staff, Air Marshal Alex made known fact that has been in doubt for long which is that Federal government on December canceled the last stage of American training of the newly-created Nigerian Army battalion and there has been no resumption of the training since then because America refused to sell Cobra attack helicopters and other lethal weapons to Nigeria Government to combat Boko haram on the unfriendly excuse that they cannot maintain it(Contrary to magnanimous praise on America by GEJ)

The President also noted that Nigeria and America shares common shares mutual admiration for one another and a deep commitment to freedom, democracy and human right. While not mutual admiration and deep commitment on corruption, embezzlement of public funds, high rate of poverty, high cost of living, insurgency, and high level of unemployment to say but a few.
It is becoming hard to get factual information in this country especially since this election is fast approaching. That’s why I am advising my fellow youths to always follow different dailies both offline and online, both print, electronic medias and read all before forming personal or public opinion on agenda for discussion. It is era of Propaganda(information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote a political cause or point of view or Propaganda is information that is not impartial and used primarily to influence an audience and further an agenda, often by presenting facts selectively (thus possibly lying by omission) to encourage a particular synthesis, or using loaded messages to produce an emotional rather than rational response to the information presented. Propaganda can be used as a form of ideological or commercial warfare) but reading carefully and consciously can help we youths know the truth.

What a brilliant and thoughtful article by Mr. Okafor. This is another evident that Nigeria needs a change of leadership through the power of ballot in the upcoming elections in 2015. However, the fact of the matter is that, president Jonathan is a dumb, unpatriotic, unintelligent, low IQ and most imcompentent president Nigeria ever had. Why? The president first mistake was surrounding himself with crooks, unpatriotic and criminal elements in the Aso Rock Villa who care about nothing that concern suffering Nigerian people but their various pockets. This president can not run on record of achievements but false propaganda to deceive our people. They also tried very hard to divide our beloved country along religious and tribal lines by deploying certain billionaire pastors that have turned politicians to persuade suffering Nigerian Christians to vote for him. That tactic failed because those private jets pastors does not feel the pain, daily struggles, and frustration of average Nigerian citizens to put food on the table, send their children to poor schools, pay high rents, high medical bills they can’t avoid, and insecurity while they (rich pastors) travel with armed police that poor Nigerians can’t avoid. Right now, president Jonathan only focus is on how and mean to rig next presidential election in order to remain in power against the will of Nigerian people. He is a very confused, dysfunctional, disoriented, and possessed man that will cling to power at all costs.

The U.S government will not work in collaboration with a government who is the backbone of a terrorist group that have killed thousands of innocent Nigerian people. They know the fact about president Jonathan’s efforts to keep Boko Haram insurgency going in order to destroy the peace and stability of northern states that will never cast their precious votes for him. And this is why the U.S is bypassing Nigeria because our government is not serious and lack the willingness to defeat and destroy Boko Haram insurgency in our nation. America will rather work with committed neighboring countries like Chad, Cameroun, and Republic of Benin to counter Boko Haram activities. Nigerians should expect nothing good from a zoologist turned politician who had six years to deliver the dividends of democracy but has failed us miserably. I believed that Secretary John Kerry of United States came to Nigeria to warn president Jonathan to desist from creating political unrest as a result of election fraud. Nigerian current political maths is fully against this failed president of six years. I don’t see how a very unpopular, corrupt and unpatriotic president like Jonathan will win reelection with his failed records. General Buari and professor Osinbanjo will easily win all the 19 northern states; they will surely win all the Southwest states including Edo, Delta and Rivers state. He will also win Imo state because of great achievements and popularity of governor Okorocha. I believe that Anambra state will also favor General Buari and his running mate. No amount of election fraud, voter’s intimidation and voters suppression can’t stop Nigerian people this time around from electing a great, patriotic, competent and discipline leader like General Buari. It is obvious that change is coming to Nigeria after the February 14 presidential election.

This ceremonial President will never fight against Boko Haram because of his selfish interest. The military personnel were not ready to co-operate with America Trainers. We should all stop blaming America for the calamity that has befallen us. In the first instance, we don’t even need the presence of United State to defeat Boko Haram but because Jonathan himself is part of Boko Haram and he always defend them that they were his siblings what else do you expect? Please let’s stop shifting the blames to Buhari or APC. If GEJ can provide security for his people then he has to go. Jonathan has not been sincere even to the Secretary of State John Kerry. This is a person who should have divulge his problem to international community so they can assist him instead he was trying to pretend and playing politics while people are dying daily in the hands of Boko Haram.

This indeed, is the beginning of the apogee of great brilliance by the author of this well-distilled article seriously embellished with incontrovertible facts. The author has once again reminded us that our current President is unwillingly to learn international decorum and protocol. John Kerry is just an ordinary statesman in the US. Why should our President seat on the same chair with him? Not even the Vice President of Nigeria will be allowed to seat with the US president on the same Chair. There is no humility in international relations between sovereign states. I do not see the reason why Obama will visit Nigeria since a more lower official like John Kerry in his government is equal to our President.
