June 19, 2017- Lassa Fever Kills Nursing Student In Anambra State, 65 Who Had Contact With Her Placed Under Watch
A nursing student working at one of the public hospitals in Anambra state has died.
The unidentified student was rushed to a private clinic at Amaku area of Awka before she was transferred to another hospital where she eventually gave up the ghost.
The deceased reportedly bled from her vagina, nostril and gums around the time she lost her battle to the highly contagious killer disease
65 people who had contact with her have been placed under watch to curb the spread of the killer disease.
Anambra state Ministry of Health Director, Emmanuel Okafor has urged all residents of Anambra to keep their environment free from rats and other rodents.
