At least 63 have died following the outbreak of Lassa Fever virus disease in Nigeria.

According to Health Minister Professor Isaac Adewole, 63 people have died while 212 others have been placed in isolation in 62 local government area of 17 states affected in Nigeria.

Here are the 17 states affected

1. Bauchi
2. Niger
3. Taraba
4. Kano
5. Rivers
6. Oyo
7. Ondo
8. Edo
9. Plateau
10. Gombe
11. Nasarawa
12. Lagos
13. Delta
14. Ekiti
15. Ebonyi
16. Zamfara
17. Kogi as well as the FCT.

He also listed the 6 Lassa fever treatment centers in Nigeria as

1. Irrua Hospital in Edo
2. University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital
3. Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano
4. Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH)
5. University College Hospital Ibadan
6. National Centre for Disease Control, Asokoro, Abuja.
