January 25, 2016 – Lassa Fever Virus Disease Kills 1 In Akwa Ibom State, 2 Quarantined
The first victim of Lassa fever, a 53-year-old woman has died in Akwa Ibom State.
According to the State Health Commissioner, Dr Dominic Ukpong, 2 others have been placed in isolation in different locations in the state to curtail the spread of the virus.
Residents are urged to take proper precautions against the spread of the virus.
