Libya-Based Nigerian Couple Returns Voluntarily With 2 Kids, Urges Nigerians To Stay At Home & Make A Living

“Stay In Nigeria & Make A Living, It Is Not Worth The Stress” – Says Couple Who Arrived From Libya Last Week
Meet Mr Alfred Jr and his wife. The couple who left Nigeria for Libya back in 2012 returned voluntarily last week with the help EUTF -IOM.
The couple who had their two children in Libya didn’t go through what many Nigerians went through in Libya but when life became unbearable due to poverty, they ran to IOM (International Organisation for Migration) who brought them back home.

Here is what Mr Alfred Jr had to say on arrival in Lagos:
‘I didn’t know it was bad. We couldn’t make a living. Literally, we starved. I couldn’t put food on the table. I knew it was really bad when I heard about some Libyans selling people off like goats”
“Stay home and do what is best. Make a living here. If you don’t have what it takes to travel properly, it’s not worth it.”
