August 7th, 2011 – Major General Magoro To Resign From Oando Plc With Immediate Effect
OANDO Plc has notified the Nigerian Stock Exchange of the resignations of Major General M Magoro (RTD) and Ms Amal Pepple from its Board of Directors with immediate effect.
Major General Magoro’s resignation is as a result of his having reached the age of 70, and his election to the House of Assembly as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Ms Pepple resigned from the Board following her appointment as Minister for Lands, Housing and Urban Development of the federal Republic of Nigeria.
In a related development, the resignation of Mrs. Oredeji Delano as the company secretary effective September 27 2011 has been announced.
Ms Ayotola Jagun will succeed Mrs. Delano with effect from September 28 2011.
The United Nigeria Textile Plc through its Stockbrokers, CSL Limited, has notified the Exchange of the decision of the Board to delist from the official list of the Exchange.
This is sequel to the receipt of a restructuring proposal from its new majority shareholder Cha Chi Ming Limited a private company incorporated in the British Virgin Islands. The main thrust is to initiate a corporate and financial restructuring of the company.
