Mercy Aigbe & Husband Lanre Gentry Fight For Custody Of Son, Actress Late Arrival Stalls Trial

Mercy Aigbe’s late arrival today stalled the trial of her estranged hubby, Lanre Gentry before an Ikeja Chief Magistrate Court.

The estranged couple were scheduled to appear together before Justice Folakemi Davies Abegunde today.

Lanre Gentry arrived at the court around 9am today dressed in a buba and sokoto with matching palm sandal and was calm in appearance all through.

However, his estranged wife was not in court.

The couple currently fighting over the custody of their son were out of sight around 11:05am when the court clerk first called the matter.

When the matter was called again around 11:25am, Gentry responded and went inside the chamber with his lawyer.

He came out around 11:43am and immediately left the court premises with his counsel.

Mercy Aigbe dressed in a white long gown with dotted pics of apple later surfaced after her estranged hubby had left.

She was accompanied to the court by her lawyer Uche Ani.

The two came out around 12:05pm after obtaining an adjournment date for the matter.

The case will come up for trial on the 28th of June.

Mercy Aigbe and Lanre Gentry marriage produced a 6-year-old boy Olajuwon Michael Gentry.

Aigbe’s daughter Michelle is from her first marriage.

  1. i dont know the ex husbands character but that lady who already exposed her daughter to a red carpet event answering questions who is a minor unaccompanied by her mother wouldnt be a good role mother to the son.if the man cannot handle it,find a reputable guardian or a renowned clergy to take care of them.

    • [email protected] IRON BAR… ONLY HER CAN BE THE BEST MOTHER TO HER CHILDREN… WHY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT HER MOTHERLY SKILLS ANYWAY… SHOULDN’T WE BE FOCUSING ON WHEN LANRE GENTRY WILL BE GOING TO PRISON FOR BRUTALIZING HIS WIFE?? AND I DON’T EVEN LIKE MERCY AIGBE THAT MUCH. BUT I STRONGLY DESPISED A WIFE BEATERS. F**K HIM!

  2. The man is temperamental, violent and lacks self control. If he gains custody, hope he would not beat the boy to death in future when he’s upset or angry. I hope Mercy gets custody. I would not leave my dog in Lanre Gentry’s custody much less my child.

  3. Good reasoning Mr I and Ola. How will an irrational wife beater be a good parent? Very soon, he will remarry and do we want the boy to be subjected to funny treatments from a step mother? Who says ‘Mr Angry’, wrongly named ‘Gentry’ will not be beating the boy at every provocation? Remember, he never apologised or showed remorse for inflicting so much pain on his wife. He maligned her and ran into the hands of another woman.Mercy even dodged him in court to let you know how scared she was and still is.Should that one have her child and force her to be coming to his house to check on him?

  4. Idiot man, did you give birth to the boy? Do you know what a woman goes through during 1st, 2nd and 3rd trimester apart from labour? After which she bleeds for a month with perenial and private part tears for a month?! Will you pamper the boy with warm cuddles? Will you rock him to sleep till he doses off? Will you comb his hair and wash his pants etc? Will you tell him bed time stories? Will you blow mucus from his nose? Will you have the patience to comfort him when he cry’s or throws a tantrum? Will you cook and feed him? You didn’t carry the pregnancy, you are harsh and a flirt, what will you teach her son? Anger and wife battery? You only need him so you can form you have a son! Only a fool will grant you custody.

  5. marry and dirvoce saga every where causes too much infidelity in todays marriages. just dey pass wetin concern agboro for overload .make una divide d boy into two mercy take one.Mr gentry then take one.
