Hummmm… Una don come again?
I DISCOVERED THAT MOST Of our ace commentators who used to make this forum very interesting before now have stopped commenting recently and I don‘t know why.
Only very few features these days.
Although, I personally dont comment to be rewarded, its just fun thats all. But the other time NG brought something similar to this award thing and it was getting interesting as they started to group us into different categories of awards.
At the end of the day, nothing happened everything just dissipated and then, silence prevailed.
So which one is this again this time around?
Well, in any case, METU NYETU stands out. But talking about most regular then I give it up to FIFELOMO.
I take a stroll…

I agree with you but most of them still read update they just kept silent may be admin is not approving their comment or others insulting them.
I was surprised when I saw Omokenhide comment after a long time. I wo’t be surprised if bezo is still here. I use to think some of dem might have died or became poor like church rat. Anything could have happened to dem.
it is still a privilege to comment here, I hope I make it somehow
I must confess am more of a reader who comment onces in a while.

Naijagist when this same thing was introduced last time it nearly caused enmity and some people were angry that they were not nominated. Like J.B. Hunter rightly observed, most of the ace commentators have stopped commenting, the reason best known to them. Metu Nyetu and Omokehinde rarely comment these days. Instead of this to bring another commotion let it remain the way it is. The current crop of commentators are entertaining and talk a lot of sense.

We are here to learn and educate,it’s unfortunate that people like Metu, Omokhinde and host of others have lost interest in Nigeria affairs because government always say positive things and do the negative ones ,so they only read and pass-by, you guys need to be back as some commentators here may have the opportunity to be in top government position one day..so whatever learnt from here can be helpful. Sometimes, the comments are more educative than the article.
NG,the idea is not bad but you guys can categorize it so that many,if not all will be included..cos i know Bench will win the funniest commentator.

Naijagist go back to your former days. If I could recall vividly, you normally rate your commentators at the end of each month. You would least those of the top ten, then those whose comment are funny and finally, those who have the most instructive comments. I think you need to continue with that pattern. Whoever doesn’t find his or her name should not be offended but should view that as a challenge to give more meaningful comment so that his or her name will be out the next month ending when you will publish commentators name again. By that you will keep people commenting more on your site about the happenings in our country today. The fact is, thousands of people are reading our comments not just in Nigeria but all over the world. I introduce a German friend to your site recently and he was so impressed after reading several comments made by people here. He now got the true picture of my discussion with him regarding our country. So people are reading whatever we comment here. And that is why we need brilliant commentators. And I must tell you that compare to other site I’ve seen, those commenting on your site are by far more brilliant, educative and exposed. You will quickly notice that in their comment and their use of vocabulary. So let’s keep them with us by motivating them to have their say. This we can do by going back to our former system.

Yes, I agree with the suggestion that the monthly name-publication system is interesting.
Regarding those commentators who went into hibernation, I suspect they now have posh government jobs and have moved to the other side of the fence so they do not want to call a wrong a wrong again until they complete their tenure as big government people.
If my suspicion is incorrect, let them return to site and prove they are not defectors.
Sorry I was a bit scarce myself. Happy New Year to you all; and I pray the hard times of 2017 never returns and that the gains of past years are consolidated. And let all persons of good will say a resounding AMEN!!!
