“Nigeria Is A Corrupt Country” – Zimbabwe’s President Mugabe
March 17, 2014 – “Nigeria Is A Corrupt Country” – Zimbabwe’s President Mugabe
Africa’s most controversial President and the Head of States of 170th most corrupt country in the world has taken a swipe at Nigeria by calling Naija and her citizens corrupt people.
He said this during his 90th birthday party. Mugabe said Zimbabweans are now almost behaving like Nigerians who have to be corruptly pay for every service.
In his own words:
“Are we now like Nigeria where you have to reach your pocket to get anything done,” he said.
“You see, we used to go to Nigeria and every time we went there we had to carry extra cash in our pockets to corruptly pay for everything. You get into a plane in Nigeria and you sit there and the crew keeps dilly dallying without taking off as they wait for you to pay them to fly the plane,” said the president followed by a huge laugh from the delegates attending his birthday bash.
In a recent world’s corruption index, Mugabe’s country ranked worse than Nigeria.
On the list, Zimbabwe was placed on 170th position from the bottom while Nigeria ranked 163.
This is a clear case of kettle calling the pot black.

Mugabe was right in his assertion but he should also realise that corruption is also the major part of his administration. This is a man that has decided to rule his country till the very end of his life. He is stupidly there making fortunes for his next generation while the economy of his country diminishes on daily basis.
Is that position meant for him alone?
I would advise u fix ur deficit b4 making such utterances about other countries. its entirely not his fault, I put de blame on our people.

This statement by President Robert Mugabe about corruption in Nigeria is nothing but the truth. However. It’s sound funny, hypocritical, and ridiculous because it became from the mouth of one of the most corrupt dictators in the world. My good Nigerian people, let us call a spade a spade. We are not blind nor deaf to see and know that corruption at all levels of government has become a normal way of life in our dear nation. Our elected officials have no respect for our people anymore as they gang up looting our national treasury with no shame or remorse. Nigeria is one of the richest nations in the world in term of human and natural resources of from kinds from the north to the south, but despite these natural endorsements, we have the highest number of people living in abject poverty in that category. Our politicians including the president, Senators, reps., and various state governors have no plan whatsoever to put our nation on the right track of progress and prosperity where all citizens flourish. Last year, Nigeria was ranked second most corrupt nation in the world. This is a shame of a nation. Bribery, dishonesty, and corruption have become a normal way of life in our country Nigeria. But it never too date for Nigeria to come out of this darkness to light only if, Nigerian people will rise up and take what belong to them from these wicked politicians. Our nation has become a talking point wherever corruption is been discussed or mention anywhere in the world. For example, late last year, a servicing U.S senator from the state of Texas called all Nigerians criminals. May God of the suffering Nigerians deliver His people from these criminal politicians that are tormenting our people.
