Nigerian Actor Nkem Owoh Osuofia Begs Buhari To Help Nollywood

August 31, 2015 – Nollywood Actor Nkem Owoh Osuofia Begs Buhari To Help Nollywood

Veteran actor Nkem Owoh has joined the list of celebrities urging Buhari to formulate policies that will favour Nollywood.

In an exclusive telephone chat with the News Agency of Nigeria, Osuofia said Nollywood is capable of contributing to Nigeria’s economic development effectively if the industry is given all the necessary support it requires by government.

Hear him:

“I will want the three tiers of government to put their viewfinders toward Nollywood since they have recognised that Nollywood helps in the per capita income of the country.

“I feel that they are not paying enough attention to the movie industry. So, let them give us policies that will make this industry stand and defend this country.

“I feel the movie industry is thriving and we are contributing our quota to the economic advancement of the country which makes me very, very happy.

“Since we are not relegated to the background, we will continue to strive harder in the development of the country in general. So I am happy to be a member of the Nollywood and see the improvement in Nollywood for now.’’

  1. Where is the begging and the mention of buhari in the statement? Owoh will be the last to ask buhari for anything after he killed his brother. As a cititizen, he is talking to the Nigerian government which is his right.

  2. What u are saying is not in any way among the nagging problems that facing our country now.I also, don’t think PMB will ever look into what u are u are saying now.
