A medical doctor has contracted viral Lassa fever in Kogi state.
The medical doctor whose identified was shielded for privacy was diagnosed with the disease on Friday the 19th of January at the Federal Medical Center in Lokoja Kogi state.
The 30-year-old doctor was today transferred to FMC in Irrua Edo state for treatment.
This was disclosed to newsmen this morning by FMC Lokoja MD, Dr Olatunde Alabi (pictured above).
