He said the accused and two others presently at large attacked the complainant, Mr Chikezie Nwakwo, who was returning home from a party, and dispossessed him of his phone and money.

He said the accused and his accomplices waylaid Nwakwo and collected his Samsung phone and money.

“While Nwakwo was struggling with the accused, his other two accomplices fled with the phone and money.

“But the complainant held on to one of his attackers and raised the alarm, while people around came to his rescue, which led to the arrest of the accused,” he said.

Magistrate A. A. Adesanya granted the accused N200,000 bail with two responsible sureties.

  1. YOU WILL BAIL YOURSELF WITH 200K FOR A CRIME OF 86K..WHAT A FOOLISH THING TO DO..ROBBING SOMEONE PHONE AND MONEY FROM A CASH SQUEEZED ECONOMY .D BEATING BY POLICE AND THE MOSQUITOES FEASTING ON U WHILE IN DETENTION WILL MAKE U RELEASE A BEAUTIFUL SONG SOON.

  2. That demand that a well known musician in the country be one of his sureties puts paid to the possibility of his being bailed out. Which right thinking well known person would risk being associated with someone who is likely to abscond like his colleague hoods in the story? Besides, well known musician is a tricky definition because even if the musician is as famous as Fela or Michael Jackson, if the Magistrate never heard of him, it’s back to Kirikiri for the suspect..
I agree [email protected] Iron bar that the circumstances have the potential for sober reflection that could aid the release of a sad song from this musician.
