Nov 5, 2012 – Nigerian PhD & Masters Degree Holders Apply For Driving Jobs At Dangote Truck Academy

Dangote drivers academy, a company that specializes in training drivers and employing them after graduation said they received over 13,000 applications for a job vacancy they posted for 2,000 graduate drivers.

Surprisingly out of these applicants, there were six Ph.D holders, 704 Masters (MBA) Degree Holders while over 8,460 applications came from Bachelors degree holders.

This shocking revelation that depict the state of unemployment in Nigeria was unveiled by Aliko Dangote during a meeting at the World Bank Youth Forum.

It’s high time unemployed graduates start looking for ways to start their own individual businesses.

    this is a reflection of the high level of unemployment in the country and surprisingly our Government officials are not doing anything to remedy the situation. it will no longer be a thing of surprise to hear that people who are supposed to contribute their quota to the development of the nation are now engaged in menial jobs

    Will am not surprise because the rural to urban migration in search of greener pasture has become the order of the day.Believe me if we dont go back to agriculture and other natural resource left undevelop,this problems will persist!!!!cus a time shall come when professors will be appling for shoeshiner work………….
