Nigerian Politician Dies Of Kidney Failure In Lagos Hospital..RIP Hon Musa Jimoh Omiata
The Kogi State House of Assembly has been thrown into mourning following the death of one of its members, Hon. Musa Jimoh Omiata, who represented Yagba Constituency. According to reports, the lawmaker died of kidney failure in the early hours of Monday at a Lagos hospital where he had been receiving medical attention for a while.
Hon. Omiata’s death has been met with shock and sadness, as he was regarded as a vibrant, articulate, and outstanding lawmaker who contributed immensely to the development of his constituency and the state at large. His passing has left a void that will be difficult to fill.
In a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to the Kogi State House of Assembly Speaker, Femi Olugbemi, he expressed his condolences to the family, traditional rulers, and people of Yagba East State Constituency over the loss of the late lawmaker. Olugbemi described Hon. Omiata’s death as a great loss to the state, and prayed for Allah to grant his soul perfect rest.
Hon. Omiata was a two-term member of the Kogi State House of Assembly, and the first person from his council area to win election twice to the House. He was known for his dedication to his duties as a lawmaker, and his commitment to the welfare of his constituents. His contributions to the development of his community and the state will always be remembered.
