The first 2017 death news in Nollywood was first recorded in the family of Iya Kike, popular Yoruba actress with real name Toyin Majekodunmi. She died of heart attack on January 1st 2017.
Also this past week, the Yoruba movie industry lost another icon based in Abeokuta Ogun state.
Modupe Oyekunle passed away of post partum hemorrhage after she gave birth to a healthy baby girl at an undisclosed hospital in the capital city of Ogun state.
