As part of the ongoing Lagos at 50 celebrations, Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko’s stage play, the Boiling Battle (Ogun Ahoyaya) opened to guests at the National Theatre in Iganmu Lagos last week Tuesday.

The movie, a reenactment of the 18th century Lagos follows the life of Oba Akintoe (Jide Kosoko) and his warring uncle Kosoko.

Ogun Ahoyaya highlights the richness of the lifestyle and culture of the Awori people, their mannerisms and peculiarities.

The movie features Bidemi Kosoko, Sola Kosoko, Fatai Odua (Olalude), Kanran, Ogogo, Kukute, Yemi Solade, Elesho, Ojoge, Yinka Quadri, Taiwo Loye, Victoria Buseni and many more.

Others present at the stage play include Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka, filmmaker Fred Amata and a host of others.
