Okorocha Tells Igbos To Forget Biafra: Stop Calling For A Sovereign Nation Inside A Nation, It Is Wrong
June 21, 2017 – Okorocha Tells Igbos To Forget Biafra: Stop Calling For A Sovereign Nation Inside A Nation, It Is Absolutely Wrong
The Governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha says Igbo people need to fix the “bridge of relationship” with their northern counterparts.
He cautioned those in support of the activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) saying, “we don’t need such”.
“I do know that when the chips are down, they (IPOB) won’t be anywhere to be found.”
He said the three-month quit notice given to the Igbo was inciting and could cause disaffection between the south-east and northern regions.
“While I blame the Arewa youths who may have acted under provocation and taking the matter beyond scope, the statements were also very inciting and can create disaffection between the north and south-east,” he said in a statement issued on his behalf by Sam Onwuemeodo, his chief press secretary
“For the purpose of those who have forgotten, in history, the south-east and north have enjoyed a good political relationship, especially in the days of Shagari. We have been seen as allies and partners politically.
“Except for this past dispensation, for some myopic reasons many Igbo did not see the victory of Buhari coming and we missed the link. We need immediate refixing of this bridge of relationship between the south-east and the north.
“I call on all Igbo persons to dissociate themselves and every northerner and well-meaning Nigerians to distance themselves from these comments from Arewa group and IPOB. Again, let me caution those who are calling for support for IPOB, especially the non-Igbo, to stop henceforth. It is deceitful and inciting and is no longer a welcome development in this part of the world.”
He called on the country’s leaders “to speak out and condemn this act because silence cannot help us in this matter”.
“Leaders ought to take responsibilities now and teach our youths the right things to do. The people in this matter are our children, our youth and they have a duty to listen to us as their parents” .
“It is apparent that we have failed as leaders in this nation, giving room for this hate in families, communities, states and at national levels. We need to take responsibilities as leaders to stop this campaign of hate as that will not do us any good.
“I call on my Igbo brothers, the agitators because there is nothing wrong in doing what others are doing, your style is what is wrong. You can’t be calling for a sovereign nation inside a nation, it is absolutely wrong.
“If you must agitate, I propose you agitate for the Movement for Economic Survival of Igbo People (MOESIP). That will help for the economic survival of our land, making agriculture the mainstay of our economy. That is only when we will command the respect of the rest of the world.”

Right from the creation of the country called Nigeria,it has never been united. Political, religious and ethnic divide has brought the history of intolerance and hatred most especially from the northerners. Even a layman who is not learned will know that everything is wrong with the country called NIGERIA. The call for Biafra has it origin from the misrule, inequality and clear marginalisation of the igbo people. A typical democracy that is unbiased and well founded must be inclusive and should affect every ethnic group in a given country. Opposite is what we are witnessing in this country. Ever since the establishment of democracy in Nigeria in 1999,the south easterners have clearly been deprived of their political right in raising a presidential candidate from their region. The question is what are we going to call this? A clear marginalisation of course! Rochas Okorocha is a mouthpiece for Buhari-led government who is bent on promoting the greedy agender of the APC party. A political upheaval and a division of the country will shattered his dream politically. This is why he will never love to hear of the secession of biafra from Nigeria. I firmly believe the call for biafra will continue to gain more strength and momentum as long as igbo people are being marginalized and oppressed.

SEnile okorocha,a typical hausa man in an igbo clothing..who cannot see beyond his horizon. He lives in a secure mansion guarded by tight security personnel, his kids school abroad,he made fortunes. His ear plugs is always on and hence cannot hear the drums of hatred from the born to rule rascals.
He has no time to visit farms where people are molested, raped and killed on their farmlands by the fulanis,he rather feast on fast food or oyinbo packaged foods.
may be he is an infant when ojukwu started the movement ,when sarowiwa started his own struggle and even gave up his life.he was eating shawarma in elementary school when oduduwa wanted to liberate themselves.
Did he even know that britain filed a divorce and was overwhelmingly voted to leave european union.
He was drinking gulder lager beer when south sudan was born after being oppressed by the brutal islamic sudan govt.
HE may listening to some calming music when boko haram is bombong churches in the north and killing southerners.
is he even aware that his northern brothers gave the igbos 3months to leave their region.Mr lazy governor, where do u one want the fired people to relocate to if not their territory or u have a massive apartment built to accomodate them?you people cant be trusted, look at orji kalu, udenwa,TA orji…they failed the people and history is a good teacher.keep ranting, your poor showing and your insensitivity will continue to follow u around.DUNCE

OKOROHAUSA SHOULD SHUT UP HIS GUTTER.
IGBOS ARE FIGHTING FOR EQUITY.
WE WILL NOT CONTINUE TO BE NUMBER 3 CITIZENS IN OUR OWN COUNTRY, IT IS NOT DONE.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, IF NIGERIA IS READY TO TREAT EVERY TRIBE EQUALLY, WE WILL REMAIN BUT FOR THEM TO CONTINUE TO TREAT AS NOTHING, GOD FORBID.
LISTEN, WHOEVER THAT SAY THAT THE WAY AND MANNER IGBOS ARE BEING TREATED IN NIGERIA IS GOOD, LET GOD ALMIGHTY TREAT THE PERSON THE SAME WAY, AMEN!

FORGET ABOUT that hausa man in Igbo‘s clothing“@ Bigdaddy.
We and the whole World know that the I gbos are not well treated in this Nation.
Since the time after the Biafran war, the hausas have tactically and silently been fighting the great Igbo people using all means possible because of the immesurable hatred they have for the Igbos.
They made them feel like a persona-non-grata (unwanted) IN THEIR FATHER‘S LAND!!!
Kills them at will and at any given opportunity. Deny them chances of employments, admissions, appointments, ect…
They are being humiliated, marginalized, maltreated, plaunder their very land and milk away all the treasure left for them that God has bless them with e.g Oil for their own interests.
Question, how do you expect people like that to react? Are they suposed to sit down and watch in silence as if nothing is happening? For how long shall these treatment continue? So many questions to be asked…
I take a stroll…

Let us be reasonable my brothers and sisters. Even the Ikemba himself said it when he was alive that Biafra is now of the mind and that another crisis is not necessary. There are reasonable ways to fight when you are marginalized and get what you want. The “Air raid” himself said it recently that the envy for the Ibos is because of the progress we have made since after the war. They never expected us to survive but they are at a loss of how we have made it and even surpassed in many areas. The main problem os governance. With the exception of Anambra and Enugu states the other 3 South East states have continued to elect ex and current 419ers as their rulers. Take Imo state for example. After Udenwa came Ohakim, after Ohakim came Rochas. Abia state:- Orji Uzor Kalu, his replacement, Theordore Orji and his criminal minded son. I don’t know much about the governance in Ebonyi state. If our relers can be honest to themselves and God and work for the interest of the people, the suffering in the land will be aleviated. Yes, there is systematic discrimination against the Ibos for example, when the war ended, Gowon introduced the 3Rs but before he could implement it he was overthrown by TY Danjuma, Muritala, and Obasanjo. Then came Shagari and he chose Ekwueme as his vice and when Buhari sensed that Ekwueme would become the next president, he overthrew Shagari’s regime. All these are just to keep the Ibos down but like one of my Yoruba friends told me “if you like put an Ibo man in the desert, he will survive”. How can we talk of discrimination when we discriminate against ourselves? Example, recently an Archbishop was appointed and sent to Ahiara in Mbaise. The archbishop is from Awka but the people of Ahiara objected and said one of their sons should be made the archbishop. Is that not discrimination? even disobeying the Papal order? Another example is the caste system in Igbo land. How can you say that a person created like you by God is not human? During the slave trade era, the Yorubas practiced it more than any other group or tribe in Africa but as soon as the trade was abolished the Yoruba stopped. The was ans still no discrimination among the Yoruba. Even people from Sierra leone came to settle in Lagos and that is why you have last names like Johnson, Benson etc in Lagos today and they all speak Yoruba and no one discriminates against them. It is time that we (Ibos) look inwards to find out why God has allowed what is happening to us to continue to happen. Individually, the Igbos are very progressive but collectively, we lag behind others.

Igbos and south south non political elites and intelligensia wants to be part of Nigeria but on the condition that all states and local governments in Nigeria will be autonomous.Devolve power at the center.End this present unitary system of government and States will pay tax to the center.
This will end the agitation for Biafra.
But if Federal Government continue to use the language that Nigeria must be together and that no part of this country will secceed without plans of restructuring then they will be shocked how the Biafra agitation will be a reality with Both South east and South South including part Kogi(Igalla)and some part of Benue(Idoma)all coming together to form Biafra that will devolve power at the center and give autonomy to the states and local governments that form Biafra.
Please this is the time for Federal Government to restructure if they want Nigeria to remain together.
Nigerian government over the years lacks good leadership which is known internationally and in the event of the use of military might to force Biafra not to Secceed the Federal Government will be condemned by the UN and they will be forced by the UN to conduct plebicite for Biafra.
Do not underrate Nnnamdi Kanu he will throw another bait and Nigerian Government will catch it again by using force to contain with Biafra agitation and there Federal Government will cross the UN redline and Biafra will be a reality.
Nigerian government will therefore restructure now to end this Biafra agitation once and for all.
