May 26, 2013 – Ombatse Cult Killings: SSS Officials Murdered In Nasarawa Buried Amidst Tears (Pictures)

10 State Security Service (SSS) officers who got killed on the line of duty at Eggon Village in Nasarawa state few weeks ago were honoured with a candle light procession in Abuja.

It would be recalled that about 45 security operatives lost their lives in Nasarawa State when troops sent to arrest the leader of a deadly Ombatse cult  were ambushed and slaughtered by militiamen in the area.

The security operatives which comprised of officers of Nigeria Police, State Security Service (SSS) and Civil Defence Corps were all murdered in a cold blood on their way to the village.

In the special assignment over 60 Nigerian Police officers were burnt beyond recognition by the dreaded Ombatse cultists in a bid to prevent the arrest of their leader.

May their souls rest in perfect peace.
