Feb 10, 2017 – Outrage As Ghanaian Church Elder Encourages Teenagers To Have  Safe Sex

The man pictured here is currently in trouble with his church leadership for allegedly encouraging teenagers to practice safe sex during a radio program.

Mr Nii Armah Hammond, an elder at the Church of Pentecost in New Achimota area of Ghana was invited to speak on Ahotor FM.

Hammond said trying to tell teenagers to abstain from sex is a failed strategy. He further argued that the best way to prevent teenage pregnancy is to educate youths on the need to use condoms.

His words:

Those who heard him on the popular radio station reportedly contacted his church leadership who summoned him but he has refused to take back his words.

  1. It is an opinion and very valid so forcing him to take it back will change nothing. Those who heard the broadcast and choose to act on the advice have already filed it away for future reference so…….. Let sleeping dogs lie

  2. The guy is so right . Teenagers need to be educated instead of scaring them all the time . That can prevent unnecessary death of innocent lives . So I don’t see anything wrong in his broadcast .

  3. He is correct, many teens are getting pregnant out of wedlock. He said we cannot stop them so have them use protection, what is wrong with that?
