Pastor Tunde Bakare: Ordaining Pastors’ Wives As Pastors Is Wrong
Nov 4, 2012 – Pastor Tunde Bakare: Ordaining Pastors’ Wives As Pastors Is Wrong
Pastor Tunde Bakare, the GO of Latter Rain Assembly church in Lagos in a recent sermon said ordaining Pastors’ wives as Pastor is a wrong practice. naijagists.com
The fearless man of God, who likes to preach without holding anything back said:
“On the issue of pastors making their wives automatic pastors is wrong. In fact, I observed that such things are common in our churches today. Even when a pastor’s wife is called, she has to go through the right process, the Bible College in order to acquire the necessary knowledge to operate successfully. Bible colleges are not there for fun, it is to train servants of God.
There is no shortcut or sentiment. There are other things the pastors’ wives, who are not called, can do to help the church grow, not serve as pastors. The major problem is that some pastors refused to obey what the Bible says. We are expected to seek the kingdom first and then all other things shall be added unto them. But today, some of us seek all other things first before the kingdom of God.”
Do you agree with him?

From politics back to the pulpit?
Is it right for full time pastors to soil the sanctity of the altar with the grime waters of politics?
I think the answer lies there

the pastor is absolutely right but what i don’t understand is why the shepherd should abandon the sheep for the dirty waters of nigerian politics, they are parallel lines.

@jerry, i dont think there is anything wrong for a man of God to participate in politics. We are crying everyday that we want Nigeria to get better, we want the right people to be in position but yet we want the devil to continue to rule. I thhink it will be better for BOko Haram leader to be the head state next since you people does not want a pastor to rule.

it is not right for a Pastor(Priest) to dabble into the office of the king (Politics)but any child of God can go into politics not Pastors, pastoral work is a call a call from God, a full time call, and he that puts his hands on this plow and looks back is not worthy of it. As a pastor, you can nominate any child if God and advice people to vote for him, look at your scripture very well, you will know that the office of the priest and the king is different, Pastor Tunde Bakare was my main man but the day he declared for politics was the day he lost it. is there no other Christian in his Church that could be nominated and supported if he is desperate to change the Nation. did God send him into politics, if yes why did he not win, if no then he is disobedient to the man that called him into the office of the priest so he needs to go back to the altar and plead for forgiveness from God. unless he is not a man of God, I don’t doubt his integrity as a pastor and his calling as a man of God, but for dabbling into politics “NO”, he missed it, he needs repentance and go back to his maker

Tunde is right & I don’t see a crime in him going into politics. After all, it’s not like he already ran a failed govt. Moreover, why don’t we tidy up our mentality as Nigerians, must we always have criminals as leaders?

Pastors are called to look after the flocks of Christ and not to mingle themselves in politice. How many muslim imams do you see running for an elected positions? Dont you know that world politice atlarge and Nigerian in particular is dirty. Pastor Tunde would have been corrupted or frustrated if the party had won. May be, God protected him by making the party fail so that he can go back to his place of primary assignment (the pulpit).

Pastor Tunde Bakare is the prophet sent to our nation, the earlier we realise that the better so that we stop shooting ourselves in the legs as regards his going into politics. A prophet must sound the warnings from the Lord. Coming back to anointing Pastors’ wives as Pastor’s, it is wrong. I support Pastor T.

politic back to pulpit, like somebody commented, pastors want to turn the church of God to a family business, when they are in the spirit their wives will be in the flesh controlling the money.may be if the pastor is called to glory the wife takes over the investment(church) waoooh is pastor is wrong..

Some pastors should no whom God is,and the purpose of their calling, if their wives are called ok, they also no the hope and purpose of the calling not for selfish ambition.

I think thats a mistaken notion.to be a pastor is not just a title that comes through academic papers.it is actually service.if God calls you,can u say no God i ve no papers?school will help on admin issues.it is wrong though to say because i am a pastor then automatically my wife becomes a pastor even though she is not called.

This man Pst Tunde has been the number 1 pst i can really find truth in. Some other pastors not all disply tricks which has caused me to start doubting them if at all they are really called.
Except someone if not him per say with the same ideology, vision, boldness of mind (unlike Jonathan) be in command (president), this country will continue to exist in its present state of corruption, disorderliness and lawlessness.
The attribute of Pst Wife be an automatic pst in the church is the similar to president’s wife holding automatic post called First Lady which is illegal.
We should begin to ask ourselves, who is really called by God.

@ Omooba may God forgive you, you have actually acted as an idiot, as there is no reason to rain abuse on someone you do know, from what you wrote I can see you have no cue of anything…….. listen and listen good the bible is against what you have just done calling Pastor B nor any man of God an idiot. The Bible says touch not my anoited and do my prophet no harm, why do you choose to insult someone that is million times more than you in all raminification. In the future, if you don’t know what say, please keep you lips sealed.
