Official Press statement released by PDP hours after Buhari emerged as APC Party Presidential candidate.
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has welcomed the emergence of former military Head of State, Muhammadu Buhari, as the presidential flagbearer of Bola Tinubu’s All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2015 general elections.
This will be the fourth time General Buhari will be contesting in the presidential elections. On each of the three previous occasions, he failed to articulate a vision of the future that was acceptable to Nigerians.
On each occasion, his brand of politics was rejected across Nigeria. Apart from changing to a dinner suit, Mr. Buhari has not changed the tired ideas and provocative utterances that Nigerians rejected in previous elections.
We hope that this time round, Mr. Buhari will conduct a campaign that is issue-based and devoid of ethno-religious sentiments.
We are convinced that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, remains the only truly national political party in Nigeria, a platform on which all Nigerians can pursue their legitimate aspirations.
We also believe that despite the distractions, President Goodluck Jonathan has a genuine record of accomplishments on which to run and deserves a second term.
President Jonathan’s re-election will guarantee unity and stability for Nigerians. His second term will also deliver prosperity to Nigerians.
Finally, in the words of our own president “The choice before Nigerians in the coming election is simple: A choice between going forward or going backwards; between the new ways and the old ways; between freedom and repression; between a record of visible achievements and beneficial reforms – and desperate power-seekers with empty promises.”

More than 16years, People Deceive People(PDP) can’t give us power(Electricity), what then are we saying? Jonathan is a failure, PDP is a failure. if Jonathan can’t fight or crush BK for almost 6years or more, he can’t fight/ crush BK in second term. Let him go to the creek and rest. Boko Haram are in his govt but he can’t do them anything.

This is nothing but total desperation of this failed president and his corrupt political gangsters to cling to power by false accusation, empty promises, and deception. In a true democracy, President Jonathan wouldn’t have run for third term after six years of inflation, insecurity, mass murder of innocent children, fathers and mothers; sudden increase in the prices of petrol and kerosene just few weeks he was reelected in 2011, shattered educational system, outdated infrastructures, corruption, leadership failure, mismanagement and most importantly, imcompentence of the highest order.
President Jonathan and his dumb advisers had six years to deliver the dividends of democracy to suffering Nigerian masses but, they have failed us miserably. The supporters of the president have been calling president Jonathan’s third term his second term. Whenever a vice president is sworn in by the federal judge after the sudden death of his president that amount to a term. President Jonathan became president according to Nigerian constitution, and discharged full responsibility of president for almost two before his second term reelection in 2011. Before the 2011 general election, this do-nothing president promised over 170 millions great Nigerians that he will not seek for reelection come 2015. He has nothing good to show for been Nigeria president for the past five years, and cannot run on his failed records than to paint General Buari black. This is a wicked behavior from an imcompentent and unpatriotic president. His failures as Nigerian president knows no boundaries, he has failed all Nigerians regardless of their tribes, language, culture and religious. He also failed to protect lives and properties of the people which is the most important responsibility of any responsible and competent Commander in Chief of Nigerian Armed Forces. I agreed with the saying, “Shame on you if the deceive me the first term, but shame on me for been dumb by allowing you to deceive me again.” Jonathan has nothing good to offer Nigerian people but the same old tactics of failures, corruption, mismanagement, election fraud, bribery and continuing sponsoring of religious unrest. For good six years he can’t deliver, how can we expect any good from him in another four years? General Mohammad Buari will surely become the next Nigerian president, he will win next year general election in a landslide victory over this failed president.
My advice for all Nigerian people is that change is coming that will rescue our sinking ship from the most unpopular, corrupt, and most imcompentent president in Nigerian history. Jonathan and his political criminals will offer you a bag of rice and money on election day. You can take it from them because is your money but cast your vote for the right candidate. They will do anything evil to remain in power like election fraud, intimidation and so on, but we must be vigilant and proactive on election day just like the Osun state voters. They will surely use old tactic of ” Divide and Rule ” by painting the opposition black and calling that great Nigerian – General Buari all sorts of wicked names, but we should stand our ground and vote for the right candidate. They are criminals that careless if Nigeria drift into more chaos by trying to divide us along religious line. They will put up public shows with some billionaires and private jets pastors in other to convince ignorance Christian Nigerian citizens. We should not pay attention to politics of division because they have no ideas of the suffering and hardship face by ordinary people, instead we should remain focus and cast our previous votes to the right candidate. We must shun tribalism and religious intolerance on election day for the peace,unity and progress our our beloved country. It is my believe that international election monitoring teams from the U.S, and other European countries will be fully involved in ensuring free and fair election next year. If this happens, the president will lose the election in a very humiliating way and Nigerian people will be the winners. Let us all reject president Jonathan’s leadership failures of the past six years and channel our beloved nation to the right track of progress, peace, unity and economy prosperity. Thanks.

Pls enough of the insult on the president. Ask urself this question wat impact hav u don in ur surrounding or what hav u people contributed to the growth n development of ur community. U all want the president to do everything. What hav ur local government chairman done or even ur state government. U cant expect the president to come do wat ur chairman or ur state government should do. Pls u people should be realistic for once n face the truth.

Hmmm! Buhari has nothing to offer, but Googluck has a lot to offer Nigerian such as poverty, insecurity, corruption etc. I wonder the kind of spokesmen and advicers this man GEJ sorround himself wit.
GEJ was the VP under Yar’adua who brought pump price of petrol to N65 from the N75 Obasanjo left it when there was global fall in oil price. GEJ in 2011 jacked the price to N97 that is what he can offer ie hardship to Nigerians. Now that the oil price is falling we are even expected by this GEJ lead administration to start paying more for fuel.
Nigerians should not be deceived. Any body supporting the return of GEJ are beneficiaries of curroption and loots of this nation by GEJ’s administratio and my God will catch up wit everyone of them soon, because a right thinking and God fearing person will not think of such. For Nigeria to go through this the next 4yrs again, God forbid.
What do they have against Buhari. A man that ruled over this nation for only 2yrs and there was great change b4 the spoiler; IBB took over. When he was petroleum minister, he built 3 Refineries. As a PTF chairman under Abacha we saw his achievement. In all these there was no aligation of curroption against him. Nigerians are not fools. Come February 2015 Gen Buhari will win the election and the grace of Jehovah become the President of Fed Rep of Nigeria. God bless Nigeria.
