Mike Hughes rescued Dawnielle from her crib back in 1998. In 2008, he found her on Facebook and reached out to her and since then, they have been in contact.
Seven years later, she invited him to her high school graduation ceremony
“Really emotional,” “I don’t know really how to describe it, they’re happy tears, to realize some things could have gone wrong.” – tearful Dawnielle told KOMO TV reporters at her graduation.
