Queen Bey is now the proud owner of a church which recently closed down in New Orleans.

The singer whose songs was recently made an hymn in a church is now the proud owner of an old church, House Of God in New Orleans.

According to TMZ, the 75000 Square foot church had been out of service for a while after key members passed away.

The church near Solange Knowles residence was built in the early 1900s.

Beyonce is not the only celebrity to buy a church in the US, Katy Perry also bought an 8-acre convent which is currently the subject of a contentious lawsuit.
