May 24, 2015 – Pictures: British PM David Cameron Disrespects Buhari, Kept Him Waiting At The Door, PDP Says APC Not Ready To Lead Nigeria

In a statement released today by the National Publicity of the PDP, Chief Okisa Metuh, said Buhari owed Nigerians explanations on why he snubbed the prayer sessions scheduled for Friday and Sunday for Muslims and Christians respectively to usher in four years of his in-coming administration, as well as the embarrassing protocol gaffe and low-down treatment that characterized his visit to the British Prime Minister David Cameron last Saturday.

“it was disgraceful that due to poor coordination and crass ineptitude in the handling of issues, the President-elect was left almost stranded while waiting for about thirty minutes before he was received by the British leader” and wondered if such is a foretaste of the muddling to be experienced under the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s administration.

“Nigerians, as citizens of a sovereign nation were thoroughly embarrassed when they saw their President-elect cheapened and kept waiting at the door of 10 Downing Street to see the British Prime Minister due to shoddy arrangements by his handlers.

“Indeed, they are becoming increasingly worried about the frightening unpreparedness of the APC for governance and the huge embarrassments they have been attracting to our nation. We know that the APC has been lying over issues.

“We also know that the APC and the President-elect have been flip-flopping and reneging on their campaign promises; but to embarrass the nation by embarking on such a sensitive visit without adequate preparations is shameful and completely unacceptable.

“We share the fear of well-meaning Nigerians on how a party which cannot adequately handle a simple task of organizing a diplomatic outing will effectively administer a country as complex as Nigeria.

“The APC has continued to give signals that it lacks capacity to face the challenges of governance. Such has been evidenced in the uneasiness of the President-elect who in apparent loss of confidence in himself has started reneging on his promises of quick fixes while confessing in a meeting with APC governors-elect on May 5, 2015 that he has ‘started nervously to explain to people that Rome was not built in a day’.

“Instead of settling down for governance and working out how to fulfill its promises of making the naira the same in value with the dollar, paying N5, 000, 000 monthly to 25 million poor Nigerians, providing electricity on 24/7 basis, providing free meals for school children and allowances for discharged but unemployed youth corps members among others, the APC is busy inventing excuses for failure and blaming everyone else but themselves. We hope they will not blame the PDP for their Saturday’s embarrassing outing at 10 Downing Street.

“Furthermore, we find it curious and more than a co-incidence that the nation is experiencing an acute shortage of fuel and electricity supply at this point in time, when such has not been the case under the current PDP-led administration. We ask, are there some forces sabotaging the system to create an impression that the APC is inheriting poor infrastructure and complete system breakdown?

“Is this also part of the larger plot to embarrass and defame the PDP-led administration in an attempt to justify APC’s excuses for failure”.

The party insisted that despite the challenges of insecurity and global economic recession that negatively affected many other nations, its administration had in the last 16 years worked very hard in repositioning critical sectors of the polity and laying strong infrastructure backbone that any prepared and result oriented in-coming administration can comfortably leverage on.

It asked the APC to get ready to apply its much-mouthed manifesto or be bold to apologise to Nigerians for presenting false messianic posture and making false promises to them.

In that picture, there is no show of time so how can you say he was kept waiting? Buhari is only waiting for his car to take him away or do you think they are lawless over there like Nigeria where you can park any where because you are VIP (vagabond in power) abeg poster propaganda is over. Please as of today 24/5/15 we are still under PDP government please ask them why we have scarcity of fuel, kerosine, water, electricity etc you are worried about diplomatic assignment Nigeria has enough embarrasment to last it a life time already. The outgoing government should hide its face in shame Nigerians are suffering so much as we speak. Only God knows the number of people that have died directly due to this scarcity of fuel, only God will judge. What a waste of 16 years

Dbanjola does the president elect have to wait? If he made proper arrangment as its expected of a civilized man like him, his car would have been waiting for him and not the other way round.

No doubt Nigeria is faced with some challanges at the moment, but that does not justify the embarassment he received. Because the pictures clearly shows everything.

I believe the people that consider this a problem have light, water, fuel, security, salaries paid. How is this an issue with all that is currently going on. You are not talking about the crass insenitivity beign displayed by current Government? Has jona made any statement about our current sufferings? is he still president? what is going on? i believe those are more critical issues to discuss than a president elect waiting for the british PM (if he actually did).

***************************************** a picture someone who stand for just 1 sec can be termed as 24 hrs. If Buhari says Rome was not built in a day was he wrong? was Rome built in a day? was U.S.A and Britain built in a day? ans me! Nigeria is already damaged and everything has to be done one after the other. it takes less than an hour to destroy a 3 story building but can u build it back in a day? And well said @ debanjola. God bless Nigeria and her citizens Amen!

Upload a video to proof ur write up that Buhari stand for 30 minutes and was degraded by the PM. in a picture someone who stand for just 1 second can be termed as 24 hours but the video will show us everything and clear everybody’s doubt. God bless Nigeria and her citizens Amen!

    May 25, 2015 at 10:57 AM

That will make him tougher, what did we get from GEJ that was let in quickly? Trust me, Buhari knows how to deal with the British. If this occurs in Nigeria, brainless people will blame Nigeria and now it happened in Britain people still blame Nigeria. If the British deliberately did that, then they should expect mutual reciprocity. Meen! This yeye queens boy think say he got tricks abi?

Its only a fool that keeps fighting after the battle is over. What has this got to do with the situation on ground? PDP and their supporters have chosen to remain gullible and so shall it be for them forever. I managed to read the nonsense write-up. They don’t make any sense at all! Chai! *smh seriously

This ur smear campaign against this man has not stopped. Even after election? ‘You share the fear of well meaning Nigerians’, What crap! “they r reneging on their promises of quick fix”, “busy inventing excuses for failure and blaming everyone else but themselves”. Does this person realise that PDP has not handed over yet? Olisa Metuh, go get a life please. Sore loser!

This kind of stupid talks is what put PDP (papa deceiving pickin) where they are today. They are back at it again and this time it will totally EXTINCT them for ever and ever.

Those talking, he was kept waiting. This is Uk. They will not let any one wait for 30 mins outside no 10. They are very organised. If fact if they were not expecting him right from the gate, he will not be allowed to the door. If you look at the sequence in the pictures posted, the last picture at the right corner, seems to show Mr Cameron going back indoors and GMB outside showing he had just seen him off, I am sure GMB was waiting for his car to arrive, because u can not park there either. They do not joke with security. The British are diplomatic and polite and will not leave GMB waiting . so we cannot say here failures in view of protocol by APC. Infact the protocol officer for No 10 will ensure he actively liaises with nigerian embassy/APC protocol team in view of the timing plan. They are organised.

******this is mere propaganda and avenue to tarnish the image of the incoming administration, what has APC got to do with the shortage of petroleum products that nearly crumble the nation’s economy at this point in time? when PDP is still ruling? May God bless this country and give us the grace to experience the true CHANGE we deserve.

NOTE: am not a politician or involved with politics in anyway whatsoever, am just giving my candid opinion and contribution as a concerned Nigerian even though i am not a “Nigerian” as we speak , GOD bless NIGERIA
