Sept 11, 2015 – Pictures: NABDA Staff, Samson Irefin Arrested By EFCC While Trying To Collect 0.5 Million Bribe From NAFDAC Contractor To Close A Fraud Case

An official of the National Biotechnology Development Agency, NABDA working with EFCC on a fraud case allegedly committed by a NAFDAC contractor, Liuideco Global Services Limited has been arrested after he allegedly compromised and demanded for bribe with a promise to close the fraud case.

Samson Irefin was picked up today by the EFCC after he was placed under surveillance by the anti graft agency.

In the early hours of today, EFCC officials stormed a GTBank in Ikeja and arrested him while he was trying to collect the sum of N500,000 which he had demanded from his victim to “” Kill” the case.

He got into trouble when his victim reported the case to the EFCC and from that moment, Irefin’s movement was placed under surveillance until he was picked up this morning.

The suspect currently in EFCC detention will be charged to court soon.

  1. May God grant president Buhari the strenght, wisdom and good and honest people to help him fight corruption that has eaten the fabrics of our nation, Nigeria. Mr. Irefin is one of those employed to fight corruption but instead he is collecting bribe to kill a corruption case he is investigating. What a shame. If I may prescribe the cure for corruption in Nigeria, I will suggest the Rawlings method or the Chinese treatment which is firing squad.
